Well, it took me quite a while but i have, at last, got myself another bundle of trouble. Talk about howl!! i have fobbed him off onto my sister tonight so i can get a good nights sleep. getting woken up every hour throughout the night with constant howling is not my idea of fun, for christs sake i need all the beauty sleep i can get! I hope he is good enough to make the grade.......good hunting folks.....JD

I have seen a few very good wheaten lurchers...and quite a few straight wheatens too.... the wheaten lurchers have been decent, only one was shit and that was bought out of the paper so it may not have been what they said it was. it seems this breed of dog is the next "in thing" i only hope the wankers dont get hold of them and start breeding pup after pup for money.. they will end up just like many bull crosses.....shit.! . up the workers.....f**k the money men.......

have found that once terrier know that it is going to get worked soon as the hounds are held back then it cares little about the whole melee' and cares only about one thing....and that is getting to ground... tally ho

i have it too. i feel that there is far to much "equipment etc" and not enough about the actual deer itself. I would have liked more about the history and more about the spread of the muntys. eileen sopers book is A1 "Muntjac", a good read and very informative

Yes, but WHIN... the whole point is they havent been tested ,,,,a large amount of work over a period of several seasons is the test. Not 6 months work. Christ! By 16 months old the dog has only just stopped GROWING. indeed, the dog in question looks like it has not been properly worked at all and will probably fill out over the next 6 months. IMHO it is impossible to fully test a lurcher properly from just one seasons work....and that dog has not even had that. theres too many lurchers around at the moment, the rescue centres are awash with them....so why the hell breed more? especially fro

I used to think these leather couples were the best, but i had a couple of collars stitching come undone after only one year . I have since converted to strong stuffs collars and they are pretty much indestructable. im sure they would hold a rhino never mind a terrier.

If the elastic is too strong you will miss as this causes a shake as you release. i used to use latex from the local fishing tackle shop. Only medium strength. Mine seemed to do ok and was a constant companion on my many fishing trips in case the local geese came too close!
