    Well done Moll. Now, i am certainly not an expert in such matters but i always left the eggs in as the hen bird won't start incubating them properly until they are practically all laid. Typically 4-5 eggs. The cock bird will have already been feeding her as this is part of the 'courtship' in the run up to mating itself. The hen has to be certain that her cock is going to be faithful and feed her on the nest as she incubates you see. They mainly mate as soon as they wake up....Morning Glory and all that!     Like i said on an earlier thread......I am very familiar with that area.On the gravel track to the statics the road forks. Take the left hand fork and look for a large 'holiday lodge' on your left. Those big birdies won't be too far behind that in the general direction of Grantown... They sit tight in the bilbery, so make sure you keep 'em peeled.

    Well, you can't be looking in the right place...... I know theres some within 2 miles of the New Spey bridge you posted a pic of..... Hmmmmmmmmm you talking the road to tomintoul? Well, do some detective work...you wouldn't want it too easy now would you baw...... I hear that a good place to start is in the wood behind the two let static caravans.....only 400 yards from the Spey.
