  4. RFYL, at least your out there doing it rather than sat on a fricken computer theorising about it..... Keep up the good work.
  5. The white can stay hidden for quite a few generations.....IMO i believe that the white comes from russel blood rather than bull blood.....
  6. I haven't taken it down and i have looked all over the site to see if i can find it to reserrect it, but, sorry its nowhere to be seen. Soemone will have to start another one.
  7. You go getting too physical with saluki greyhounds and they will definately not come back...or do anything. A firm bond is what you need,IF you want a dog to be responsive.
  8. Remember when you were a teenager...... Sometimes it pays to go 'back to basics' in a little crash course with the hound, just so he knows who is the boss.
  9. I told you....it's easy. Just wear orange and make a noise like a carrot. You know where i am if you want to nip across for the day ....but in a few weeks the grass will be far too long
  10. Nice little grub that...I have one of those here, amazing how they survive...
  11. Yes mate i did,i got a few photos that i am quite happy with, but i wasn't wearing a scrap of camo or covered my face or hands.....
  12. been seeing a few herds of em down the coast here.. you wouldn't belly crawl these though.. not on these fresh sown pea/bean fields.. not unless your knee high to a grasshopper charlie.....lol... Charlie, i have told you before...never underestimate the stalking skills of a fried-egg-sarnie addict.... Might bob down soon if you fancy a walk out... ya better make it quick cos i will be gone at the end of month..[pastures new]in the land of the hoopoe,,ha ha ha ..migration has been brilliant up to now round these parts.. best for years,,and loads of yogi about..herds of em....l
  13. Can't beat fooling the clever survivors on a stillwater with tiny home tied dries......
  14. Well i don't know too much about these things but one imagines the best time to get a good ID is just after first light when the hen bird leaves the nest to deficate.
  15. Well when you said 'yours' i presumed that you meant 'yours' not you having the right to shoot it. My mistake.....
  16. Have you made a positive ID yet of the hole nester?

  18. OK Artic. I still do not think that a wild pheasant 'on your property' becomes yours. But, as ever, i bow to the might of the Law..... Good Hunting....JD
  19. Too easy i guess........Correct answer....
  20. This morning.......The grass was just long enough for me to commando crawl in.....Spent a long time watching hares from less than 15 yards away, and i can safely say that it is not just the doe and buck hare that box. I even have a photo of a hare with his 'tommy tinkle' out....and you don't see that too often in life.....
  21. Don't be silly petal, just having wild thoughts. Darcy, there are many loop holes like I have said earlier, If your friend owns the land, then we have trespass with intent. It's a big old rule book, and it can send you round the twist , BUT there will always be a Charge for an offence. Leave that to the CPS. artic, the question i asked was whether the earlier statement about owning the pheasant because it is on your land is incorrect or not? Law has always held a particular interest to me, I could debate about it til the cows come home. I guess that you are agreeing
  22. Anyone? Miles and Buckshot not allowed!
