  5. Try short slips for awhile ive tried everything mate ,had her litterally stoood over a rabbit shaking and waits and waits for it to bolt before striking, mid field rabbits instead of running at them she will creep 200 yards a couple of inches at a time and sit there until it moves its infurating shes caught about 5-6 rabbits and retrieved to hand ,but she has only ever got into 5th gear one night out with a lad of here, the rest of the time you can see shes not really intrested im hoping its a phase but im very dubious at the momment ,hopfully a rest will do her good and renew her prey driv

Spot on, or [poison-meat] if they really want something , no dog will stop them
  9. They are a very popular x in Oz. They x them to greys and do well on wild pigs. I DONT know what lines they use, but they seem healthy+fit. They use them more than Pits, over there. If you could get a healthy+ Game line , then they could be a good x for lurchers Here.????
  10. If its his first woman, he will be like the rest of us, and [shag his Brains out] . Ive been married 27 years. But before i got married, i made Dam sure i had a good time first. And i think thats what fecked back up. . My wife + son , like every lurcher that i have had. But they not botherd about hunting. It has always been a [big] part of my life, and they know that, and at [57] this August they no i wont change . Once the novelty as worn of a bit, he should go back to the dogs+hunting Ray

  14. Spot on, dont wait for it to happen, tell them to keep it away, if not do as above. Another thing i do when the dog is full grown, if the other [WANKER] wont put ther dog on a lead. I Loose my dog so he can defend it self, either to[ run or fight,] and it cant do it on a lead.? And most lurcher of 24in 59lb, like my dog are [strong+Agile] and can do alot damage, so its there[ OWN] fault
  15. a year old for big dogs and ten month for little dogs (whippet xs) and only give them a couple of slips a week. got a whippet/grey here she as been out watching and run 3 times , once one night caught one and took her home , then 2 week later took out gave 2 runs missed the first caught the second so took her home...... so as to finish the night on a high with a catch and loads of praise so she knows she is doing good... every body as there own way but thats mine ... Spot on, my dog 1x collie grey , had 100 rabbits, few bigger rabbits in the lamp last season, not bad for 19
  16. Same here, when i go on holiday and go in the sea, iam on [Red Alert] iam going to Italy this year and they have had the feckers there.
  17. The tennis ball, is a good idea for striking at a target. But regards rabbits, [big] differnce to a ball. The dog might be holding back before it strike's at them. What you want to do, is take it ferret'in when they it the nets, let the dog have a good smell of it in the net. Chin the rabbit, let the dog hold it praise it then take it of it. Once it does this a few times, it will get more [confident] and you should be ok. Dont forget lamping can be hard for young dogs, till it all [Clicks]= Agilty+speed.
  18. Spot on, there are [bitza's] and ive have seen his site. Anybody can put a name to a lurcher and call it what the feck you [like]. But the name [Tumbler] is a name of a type [pigeon]. And if i breed my dog, and he his Great [jumper+agile] , i will call the line [jump-ag] and i must remember to keep them in a kennel, not in a feckin loft .
