  1. Nice powerful dog young man, and the EBT looks sound.
  2. unless you are going for Bigger rabbits most times, the collie, bull, grey, will handle most stuff. And you dont want to put to many breeds in the mix.? If you went 1x colliegrey to 3/8 bull 5/8 grey or 1/4 bull 3/4 grey, you would plenty of speed+agilty and still enough drive [guts] from the bull.
  3. Go for a colliexgrey xbullxgrey , thats what iam going for with my next lurcher. Ive had colliexgreys, and bullx greys, both good dogs. Ive got a 1x collie grey now, Bryn 19 months old done well last season 100 rabbits and few Bigger rabbits in the lamp . I think with that bit bull in your colliex grey, should had that bit more Grit , and tone the collie down just a bit. If it comes out right, you could have a lurcher that will tackle all game [large+small] Bryn 1x collie grey
  4. No a Tumbler is a type of racing [Pigeon] fact. When i was kid , they had them by me. I used talk to the bloke about them, it was there style of flying. Feck all to do with [lurchers], just another [Con Trick]
  5. Yes i read that, he took big numbers with his dogs. And most of his lamping dogs only lasted 2 seasons, and they were fecked then. Even if they were a good line, with [stamina+Agilty], 50-60 rabbits with one dog ,it could be done. But hit the Ton with one dog, i dont think so. And unless you have market for that many rabbits, why feckin bother.??? Most game dealers want clean rabbits from [gun or ferret] , when a dog as to work that hard , they can get hard mouthed and who can blame them . If i get a dozen , and a run on old red coat i am happy
  6. Thats one brave man or feckin nutter
  7. same here mate, with one-two of them you would get plenty of game Great dogs
  8. Spot on , i took a whack to the lower left ribs, a good feckin 10-15 years ago. And some times like you say , it still bit tender after all these years.
  9. Spot on, all my dogs have been stock broken. If my dog did stray on to other land to catch a rabbit, with sheep or with out sheep. And if some body could see my dog was no prob to sheep, and still shot him . I would end up in Jail=prison, and the other bloke would end up in Hospital Fact . Every dog i have owned=kept lurchers other breeds, lurchers 25years, other breeds 15 years. I HAVE taken to stock [sheep.cattle,....] since they were 10 week old pups - to 15 months old, and i still take them every other day now what ever the [Age]. So as you can See, i make a [big] effort to train them.
  10. Spot on , if you want a good+healthy GSD, dont by in this country. [H.D] is a big prob in alot of GSD's, and i cant see the point in putting that in to your lurcher[pool] breeding. You would be better of with [collie, bull, deerhound,] if you want size+strenght in your lurcher, than a GSD. Some people have used GSD in there x, and been happy. But i would rather use a Mal, which would faster+healthy x but they have a [Very Hot Temp]
  11. Yes mate, pre ban this x would tackle all quarry. For your 1st lurcher you wont go wrong, and a male might be better than a bitch . Dogs are stronger, and if it as the heart can be a bit more keener .? Regards kennel and other dogs, it should be ok. But my self i would not, dogs like there own space. And dog of 60- 70lbs which this x can grow to, is a strong dog. Kennel it on its own if you can.
  12. not the best on rabbits..2tall..everthing else :thumbs:really good on deer dont damaged the meat.ive got a deerhound grey 32insh.. A ped deerhound would not be the best on quarry in this country pre ban. The only thing would be deer, thats why they are x to other breeds, to bring down the size. They give good[feet, coat, stamina] and not to bad train as sight hounds go. Lets face it lurchers of 22-25ins, can struggle at times to catch quarry. Speed is ok but with out [Agilty] you wont catch much, and [big] deerhounds wont have it like a small+medium lurcher. I like deerhounds they
  13. Yes and they will be in for [Massive Shock],the white youth will have enough of there [culture+intimidation]. They will [turn on them] you have always had gangs[ ted's, skin's] .E.P[ River of blood speach] will come true, i am [57] this year i might not see it in my life time. But it will [Happen] in the next [50] years, Fact
  14. What you got for a bad back, can you send me some of your [magic-beans]
  15. She looks Great, thats what i will get in the future. What % bull, collie, grey, is she .??
  16. They use them in Oz, they x them with [greys, stags,]. They have good nose, stamina, some good drive[game], but as with alot of breeds there is a lot of Shit about . They use them on wild pigs in Oz, but not many use [ped dogs] .A good Bullx grey, would be a better dog.?
  17. Yes give him a good feckin Smack, 1st dog should not attack a bitch. 2nd it dont matter if its [food or toys] it dont do it. 3rd You are the[ pack leader] and [only you] say+do what happens in your [little pack] not your New feckin lurcher. But to make life easy, just feed+treats [separate]. It sounds like he will always try and Dominant your bitch, when he does come down hard on him
  18. Same here a great dog, i have met him at weston park[ Many moon's ago]
  19. Thats the road iam going down next time? Ive had both bullx and colliex, so thats what i shall do next colliexgrey x bullxgrey.? ive one at 20 weeks old and turning out to be a grand little pup!! well it should be the ultimate cross brains, strenth, determination and speed.ive got the ultimate bull to get us started lol You are right there, whats the bone of a feckin [Elephant]
  20. I would not say 1x, to much collie for his 1st lurcher A 1/4 is plenty to whippetxgrey. Ive got a 1x collie grey , he can at times, and ive had lurchers 25 years. They are good dogs, but not for your 1st lurcher. Bryn my 1x collie grey
  21. Thats the road iam going down next time? Ive had both bullx and colliex, so thats what i shall do next colliexgrey x bullxgrey.?
