Yes as you say a good keen knowledgeable dog man I know he thought a lot about that bitch please pass my best on to him..
-
I think that's were the lad goes wrong imo he sells them to cheap there good honest alround dogs that are tested especially that Troy n he puts maximum effort into the rearing which as you know is crucial they've got to be worth working mans price surely n to cheap can sometimes attract the wrong owners but it's his choice at the end of the day isn't it.
-
Think it's only fair to mention the bull x bitch in this line as well as she was a very good dog for the lads that like that type and would be mistys dam she was a very good bitch for Roy she was..
-
I bet, 8 1/2 months I had to go without seeing my boys it killed me so I envy you mate, I'm not saying you've only bred for your son I'm sure you keep good dogs but what a great way for you both to share the experience together I envy you n hope you both enjoy every minute ?
-
Good luck I bet your son will enjoy helping out be a good experience for him?
-
Shame about the one you lost, iv always had a soft spot for them especially there temperament and I have some good memories of a couple of real handy ones when I was a young lad, the last useful one I saw was about 15 or so years ago bred by Rupert slack she was a handy bitch.. Good luck next season with the terriers..
-
I don't think Jacob will take any offence mate some people speak there minds like you it doesn't have to mean there bad n your probably saying what you did due to there actually being so much shit about n bred for the wrong reasons but honestly these are good dogs with a good owner and well tested and the lad knows how to rear a litter, do you still run the deerhound x's it's a shame you don't see many decent ones about now..
-
The pup he kept had a bad accident he still has hasn't got rid like a lot would but he's limited to how much he can give the dog, he now has mine back "gunner" which he initially given to me as a pup as well keeping hold of it until it was 5 months old as I was away, Troy must be 9 now and misty 6 or 7 the dogs and hunting are his life by the time these pups will be of age he'll only have the pup n gunner to work, no ulterior motives Morton he's planning for the future n trying to get another pup out of Troy before the old boy starts firing blanks?
-
There's bigger things to worry about Morton you've been in the game a long time if you met Jacob and saw his dogs I'm sure you'd get on with him atb..
-
Is there any need for that as you'll be aware there's plenty of idiots in this game as well as shite being bred and Jacob is a real nice fella who lives for his dogs and hunting very keen and looks after his dogs and he's the sort of lad that if you were to come unstuck at the other side of the country one phone call n he'd drop what he's doing n come n get ya, honestly I don't normally comment on these sort of threads but he's a decent lad the dogs are well tested n proven and he's lined the bitch for the right reason as those two dogs suit him down to the ground why not wish him well or don'
-
Good to see you finally got round to it iv seen both these dogs and both are good at there jobs people would be surprised what they've done, iv seen Troy a lot more than misty so I won't comment to much on her only that she impressed me when I saw her but Troy I can say a lot more about as iv seen him regular over a number of seasons and I like him a lot iv took Jacob to the biggest of land were they know the craic to small sheep fields n moors n that dog has never failed to impress me he's honestly been to the moon n back and very consistent and the fact that he was still putting body's on th

Sorted dean..

https://www.thecornmill.com/working-dog-food-15kg-4 This one dean they seem to do ok on it and know a fair few others that like it it’s produced by GA and they get all the different biscuits from the end of a line mix it all up n put it through the extruder again so it’ll have Millie’s csj n numerous others in there.
-
Seen it loads on sites over the years never could get my head round why they do it or the point..
-
Looking good Jacob glad he's doing well for you..
-
Nice pup best of luck with her and your new start in life..
-
GA in Leyland huge place a lot of these company's are manufactured there they just use there own label anyone can do it..
-
Coursing well n truly finished chopper trail cams cctv do gudders drones you'll get no hassle for a certain amount of times but your look will run out sooner or later it's just a case of if you love it enough to put up with the hassle, shame it got ruined by the wannabe gangsters who don't respect land n quarry as when done right it really is the sport of kings.
-
I used to use it and tbf the dogs did pretty well off it it was the endurance mix that I used, there always putting there prices up tho and not really worth what they charge imo plus alot presume that they manufacture the feed themselves were as there just a packing plant and put there own label on it it's the same with csj in fact it's the same company that manufactures both csj and Millie's as well as many others.
-
Used to love the raw feeding n would still do it if I only had one or two dogs but with having four I find it a lot easier feeding a mid range kibble n meat these days don't get me wrong they get bones n raw meat a couple times a week but it's predominantly kibble n meat, iv been using dried meat as well lately as well n seems ok. A few lads I know feed cheap kibble like gusto dr johns or vitalin active with nowt added n there dogs look n work fine..

Union is more tactical your right there pal but league is a lot more skilful as well as being a faster game all round union is slowed down a lot and so many points obtained by penalties but as you say they are both very different union sure has gained a lot of popularity in recent years n rightly so, I like it a lot more than I did internationally anyway but still doesn't compare to league for me.
-
This is how it should be with a contact sport like rugby but times change I suppose but the games no better for it lol
-
Few more decent hits, not saying you don't get em in union but it's definitely a touch more lenient lol
-
Can you imagine if you did this in union ?
