    Funny you should mention this, I have cosidered it as an option. I have nearly achieved the abstinance period too!! Loads of gardening, bit of self sufficiency, time to contemplate life..........Its looking pretty good. At least you dont have to give up alcohol either. Its the hair cut, i'm struggling with.................that .........and lust...

    Zero recoil on a 22lr, which is a rimmy I would suggest that which has allready been suggested.. A simple, good quality, centrefire scope.

    It may be conditional to each gun held on the FAC as well, just because you get open on one gun, does not mean you will get open on each gun. The wording of a closed ticket may read...something along the lines of "deemed suitable by the chief of police???" or alike.. Check again. if you not been shooting for long, it will be closed... Matt

    Yes you can get a FAC rated shotgun. but you still have to prove you need one. You are stillplaced under the same restrictions as with a firearm.. ie if you do not have an open licence, every bit of land has to be approved. Also if you prove you need one for pigeon..you cant use it for rabbit unless it is listed on your ticket. IMHO you wont get one..... Just get an SGC. If you have FAC, they basically can't not give you an SGC. Matt

    is it roe you mainly shoot mr l ? my cousin has just been given some permission for us thats 400 acres. and its teaming with roe and munjac well i can get munjac for my 22/250 i will have to get 243 for the roe. if its as full as we have been told then 243 is the only way. what rounds do yuo guys use for roe in 243 ? i thought that 100g was a minimum for deer could be wrong. It depends where you (England/Scotland) and which deer.. The 100gr stipulation is for deer larger than a roe in Scotland

    If you want to get him out of the hole and in to a trap, you could lure him out with a female in season..Perhaps in a two compartent live trap or something similar..

    A genuine Opinion request folks!! With the Scottish Gamefair season about to start, I am interested to find out what everbodies opinion is as to perceived value for money of goods purchased there. Reason....well I have been saving for a new scope, and as much as I like my local shops, it is a case of not having the range in stock for me to make an informed choice. I'm thinking of quite big money, and want a bargain. So...is stuff any really cheaper at the fairs or not? Have you had any real bargains? Thanks

    You can get some good fishing at a few points along the Haven, but it's a bit like everywhere now, hit & miss. I know a few cracking spots for Bass a bit further up the estuary. The tides can be a bit ferocious around the Ramsey area, especially on a strong tide. There's some videos of kayakers fecking around on the bitches somewhere on the net, fecking mental! Well keep them to your self..I may be down in the summer

    The emphasis is on you to prove you need one.. You would have to apply for an FAC, have permission to use one on someones land. The cost of the application is £50, you two witnesses to sign to say you are suitable to have one, from positions of good standing in the area. Its a whole load of hassle.. A standard air rifel...as I am sure you know...is quite capeable of taking a rabbit at 30-35 yards..so ask your self..do you need the hastle of an FAC?? The rifle its self may not cost that much more...!!
