    AA!! I haven't worn those particular Hoggs boots...... But I can honestly say I have had a pair of Hoggs boot's on every day for the last 3 years for work.. Well made, quality product....no issues, good leather and comfy.. Good brand HTH Matty

    I'm not going to give you any tips on shooting,or stalking. Thats your guides job.. But the best advice I can give you, is prepare all that you are taking the night before..Decide what you are wearing, that is suitabe for the conditions. What you must do is be at ease in everything you are wearing. Such that you are not thinking about, are my shoes comfitable, am I about to get wet, am I cold?? etc, etc. Your mind should be focused on taking instruction from your experienced guide with out minor distractions from ill fitting boots, cold, draughty clothing, cold ears etc. I dress like

    Or flexible cable duct..does the same job. You shouldn't be paying for it though. Scrounge it. Its worthless in the small lenghths that you require, and is normally thrown away.

    I think the drawbacks outweigh the benefits. They look like they give you substantial stability, but the time taken to deploy etc, potential additional movement, noise.. I'd stick to standard shooting sticks, or if needs must, a three leg shooting stick. Like Dixy...I'll stick to my 12 quid specials..Which do for me, for all but the windiest, longest shots. On these days, its bipod or nothing.

    How much too fast do you think it is running?? Could it be reduced with a chain drive or belt drive with a larger pully on the Driven pulley and a smaller puller on the drve side. The ratio in circumfrence will reduce the speed accordingly. If you knew the current rating of the starter motor, you could find a variable resistor to reduce the voltage slightly. But it would be something bloody big and industrial to do the job...but it is possible
