I for one would not shoot at the heart / lung at that distance, because if a bone gets in the way, the pellet is not going to penetrate enough for a quick kill and the wabbit is more the likely going to run for cover and die either in its warren or end up in some shrubs.   11. In my opinion the marks shown in the photograph are exactly what John B says they are..It is dried oil etc. Thats not to say that all orange spots are..but these are representative of the problem John describes. I agree it is difficult to show from photographs.
  12. Yep, A guy I occasionally stalk with breeds springers for tracking deer. He and the dogs are top of their game. I wont put his name up because he is not a member, but he is a journalist and writes for the monthlies. Matty

  14. The lad on the trampolene...has errrr...... issues with me shoting this time of year....if you know what I mean. Too many young The other one doesnt share the same morals... Unfortunatley one grandparent lives in Peterborough..........the other in Haverfordwest...so a day trip is out of the question
  15. Had to take a week off work this week to entertain the sproglets... First off today...............try and take a picture on the trampolene... pass Then...........load up the 'Man Toys' for a day up the hill..........logging.. " No son.....thats the sharp end................................." Tomorrow is going to be fun............we are taking a 'Picnic' What's everyone else doing??
