  1. Heres a couple of mine, one belongs to someone else. http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=130450
  2. Mak, should still be under warranty at 9 months, get it sent back to them ASAP, and let them know you will let us know how you get on.
  3. All depends on where im working and where im hunting. Just lately the bulk of my work is locally, fingers crossed it can stay that way so I will downsize the motor for a cheap to run little thing, that I can get the dog box in aswell as the digging gear.
  4. Great idea. Are you gonna use the regular ones available as a pattern? if the answer is yes or similar,, then ill have a set, might take 2 sets (bit close to xmas though!). Thanks.
  5. Just to add,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,if you are still strugging to get into some bush, look up Rohypnol
  6. Ive always been a fan of 'bush beating' although its more often got other names, the quarry remains the same. Best way to get into it? I here you ask, well the best advice I can offer you is,,,timing is crucial, and remember all bushes are not the same, bush selection is vital. ie: not all bushes want beating,,,,,,well not at first. Some bushes can be a whole lot tighter than others, so take your time and remember if at first you dont suceed either change tactics or change bush. As their os a lot more bush out there that will appreciate a beating. May the force be with you.
  7. Havent had my Working Border Terrier through the post yet!

  9. Could just be a hiccup, worth holding back a few weeks and giving a chance or 2,,,,,,then you will know whether or not to let go.
  10. Occasionally we got some run to ground, but as its all gun packs, most get dropped as they leave cover,,,,,,,,shame really.
  11. Nice Wolfie, have you got any from abroad? Tom, where did you get the badges made? Looking to get some done for our digging club, also would like to get some embroided ones done. YIS WAZ
  12. Wet suit, wellies & a one wheeled bike!!! Some imagination there fella,,,,,,,

  14. There is someone I know who,,,, has repeated back to me, a few bits and bobs I and others have mentioned to him, as if they have happened to him. All you can do is chuckle.

  16. I read 'The Sporting Terrier' by Plummer a good few years ago, werent a bad read. From memory what you are asking ,,,,,it has.
  17. Would that make it 'The New' Old? Or 'Retro' Nuttal? Or 'Oldskool Newstylee' Nuttall,,,,,,,,I feel a book coming on.
  18. Maybe a band of an inner tube then, bit of extra security. Was out today with a youngster for her first time, collared her up, couldve done with another hole in the collar!
  19. Can you not send the collar back and tell them it is no good, please send a longer one. After all this is being sold for finding terriers, bit shit if the collar dont stay on the dog because of a rectifiable problem that will cost B&f pennies to make the collar a couple of inches longer.
  20. Damn, I was expecting some weird photos,,,,,,,,,,,,wheres the soap,,,,,,,it does doesnt it.
  21. THE WORLD IS FLAT! Does make me laugh, but it does seem that if someone dares to try or do something different then,,,,,,,,,,,,, I bet the fellas who first went to the time and expense of bringing bulldogs from across the water got the same flack, (ok maybe in some cases it was deserved! LOL). The guy who bought some airedales back from North America got stick. Human nature I suppose, good things and the not so good things. Pats I hope you have luck on getting what you want and dont get 'sold a pup'. Fingers crossed it goes smoothly. I'd be interested in your opinions once youve
  22. I gotta go to America,,,,,,soon.
  23. If you are sticking to shallow spots yes, but not if you are digging deep, maybe thats why the phrase 'Dig(ging) deep throw well back' Maybe theres a follow up planned, 'stick to the shallow places, and dont throw too far back'!
