What like zoos, donkeys rides on the beach, aquariums, safaris. Like I say I dont like their tradition, but their again they may not like the fact I have a docked terrier etc etc etc.

Sound more like 'Angry Hunter' rather than 'Hungry Hunter'! LOL. Dug a few yesterday, went on to check a few other places no-one at home, would have been quite happy to dig to my bitch again. As I knew there was more in her engine, she had to find her quarry first after they dug thereselves in due to other dogs having a look, a handy dig with her. Other more testing digs ive had WITH HER I wouldnt use her again for a few days. Point im trying to make is, maybe these folk you are asking the owners to use their dog for a second and third dig, and they say no, arent you being selfish cal

It is their tradition. Thats why they bear 'trainers/handlers' are having to be retrained into another job. I dont like their tradition but I would not protest against them or try to stop them. If I went to their country I would not give them money. People in glass houses shouldnt throw stones.

The 'B' word! LOL. They are untouchable at all costs, very bizarre situation. Was reading about the wildlife presenter Chris Packham (sp!) commenting on the situation re: pandas. The reason for all the protection is due to them being the symbol for the WWF. The badger does seem to be a great icon for anything twee in the countryside or animal 'luvvies' charity. & all the time numbers are going up and up with no lawful way to control numbers to protect health & livelyhood.

Sounds like your man has a handy terrier that he's gonna get some mileage out of. As for not re-entering earths at 2 year old, that is something that may come with more digs & time. As for holding back and baying,,,, sounds like you are asking a leading question,,,,,, im sure theres a fair few on here that will find fault in that style but sometimes it seems they are wanting their terriers to make up for something they havent got theirselves.
