  1. Its true that. lads say that its the small minority that spoils it for the rest but there is still a shed load of fields with a shed load of tracks on them from being driven so someone is doing the driving. I dont think that many landowners/police would care about the odd rabbit/hare or even deer being taken if they were to be taken on foot its the crop/gate/property damage that pisses them off
  2. I have a couple of them in my court the majority or the crap goes in it, the rest goes in its general direction
  3. 63K animal ffs that is some year! Something like that is what I meant
  4. Good one for putting this up. May be an idea (if you have access to anything like this) to put up some stats around the amount of animals they put down on weekly/monthly basis etc as most of the general public that see the group will not see the relevance of them only being a charity and having no powers of entry etc. Only people with working dogs will understand the relevance of this.
  5. Still the same for me, it allows change just doesnt seem to save it
  6. Nissan XTrail is a bit of a half way house between estate car and 4X4. Does about 47mpg on a run or 40mpg combined and has a reasonable amount of boot space. Can pick one up 2nd hand for a couple of K
  7. cant edit mine either, its been like that for a while now
  8. Two of mine are named by me the others by the kids...Dont think I have ever used any of their names mind Woody (jill) Buzz (jill) Woozal (jill) hefalump (jill) Lucky (castrated Hob) Juan (entire hob, called Juan because he only has juan testicle)
  9. no problem about friday, will get something else sorted soon.

  10. no probs mate re invite, will sort it out when there is a bit better weather for it and check out a couple of other spots. Will sort someting when your dog is better

  11. Depends where you are though, where we were last night in the dales they dont tend to get much chew from poaching so the landowners/police are pretty chilled about it. Other permissions i have in east yorkshire have regular problems adn the landowners and coppers are right on it. I think even landowners get text alerts etc
  12. whys that? because if your going to donate money for a ferret/dog or whatever its is better to give it to a centre that has the best interest of ferrets in mind, rather then an organisation that would be happy to see and end to ferreting/hunting
  13. I like the idea of this but i recon it would be better to look at it as more of a long holiday then a new way of life (a couple of months to a year at a time), as the reality of living in solitude/getting ill/cold for long periods would most likely wear me down after a while and the novelty would wear off. Probably something i would think about if i ever end up un-married as would probably end in tears being trapped in van with the misses for months on end
  14. Have given up listening to that show especially when its anything to do with hunting, I cant stand Jeremy Vine and his whinny voice. The BBC never seem to report on anything in an unbiased way and just take what they think will be the opinion of the majority of the population and turn on the other view.
  15. they may be comparable in price to other ferret rescues mate, I dont know to be honest. But whatever the amount of money its just better that it doesnt go to them!

  17. Thats true I think so providing you take off the pre-paid thing and strap the correct address to the parcel (or any other object where address and prepaid stuff can easily be seen). Then royal mail have to deliver it (that's my understanding anyway). Strip of lead is a good idea for fitting in the envelope but it is too valuable to part with a shoe box properly wrapped full of gravel and dog shit would get the message across, cost them a few quid and mean your not out of pocket yourself. Also regards rabbits feet or any other bits of animals is a BAD idea. and could be used as a massi
  18. better put a house brick in with your pro-hunt leaflet. It will cost more to send it
  19. maybe its down to how you come across in the interview with the FAO then, as yes I mentioned pest control job, would be a fool not too, but also asked for an "open ticket" on first application, had 2 pieces of land with permission, and yes, recieved my open ticket, although was refussed a section 1 shotgun, I also got an open ticket on first application. I asked the FEO to pass a five acre field for the rimfire, but also said I had few thousand more acres which i also shoot on which i will need to use the rifle on but don't want to put them down as I don't want you to have to bother a
  20. Pretty shocking precedence to set that to have people in a position to dictate where money goes thereby funding their own agendas. I cant see how realistically anything can be done on a national basis to make any real difference with a budget of 430,000 other then the odd poster campaign asking people to grass more etc.. Dont think anything on the ground will actually change as a result of this other then to raise profile/public awareness. The article it does say its 50K for press officer and backroom staff "The offer of financial aid – which would pay for backroom staff including a med
