Do you need land when applying for a FAC
lapin2008 replied to Stuart1985's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
I think you will struggle to get an FAC without land to shoot it on as you need to show a justifiable reason why you need one. Best to have a word with your mates whos permission/land yu shoot to speak to the owners. Other then that try a club which will allow you to get a rifle but your FAC will still state target shooting only one your ticket until you get that permission/land/reason to have one to shoot vermin etc... For an 22rf though you dont need to have much land. I got mine through with 5 acres with adjacent roads/houses but depends largely on local police force. good luck -
Commute of 82 miles each way. You sort of get used to it but still knackering

Depends on the potential use of the land and where abouts it is in the country. Arable land around here is about 5 - 8K an acre depending on lots of factor ie, how good soil, size of plot, location/access. If you are looking at a couple of acres the chances are that the seller will ramp up the price as they will know that it is likely to attract people wanting to put horses on it, so most likely looking closer to 10k per acre. For woodland it also varies dependent on lots of things but is often cheaper. probably between 2-5K (5k for a small bit of a couple of acres) There is a 40 acre wood

I have an old night vision scope I use for this. and it is good but what have found is if walking around with the lamp the dog on slip or gun and the night vision scope can be a pain. I have found it more practical when sat still calling.. when there are less things to juggle

to be honest mate most ferrets regardless of age should get the hang of it soon enough, you may have a frustrating few outings to starts with but am sure they will pick it up. I would have though that most ferrets will have come from working stock within a generation or two anyway. But what I have found is that although obviously better to only get working stock I have found that its often down to the ferret itself. I have had (working) litters in the past where half of them have turned out crap and also had ex pets that work out really well. atb

Payment received, thanks mate, will package it up and get it to the post office tomorrow, Will keep you informed, thanks Dom

I am sure that you would be entitled to access some information regarding it under freedom of information etc.. you may have to pay a nominal amount which is usually about £10. I doubt however that there is an official figure for the cost of policing specifically the ban. Most likely the information you would be given, would relate to something like 'policing the countryside' or something like that and swallowed within more general budgets. If there was an official amount i recon it would be a stupid amount especially with them using helicopters to follow lads around (still cant believe the

Not sure about whether you have been got or not, as mentioned they have to give you 10% as all speedometers report different speeds, what I mean by this is if you speedo said 35 you may have only been doing 32 or something around there. as they all round the speeds up all cars are different. Not sure about the speed awareness course, I did one about 4-5 years ago and at the time it was very much dependent on where in the country you had been caught, some counties had taken up the scheme and others hadnt although this may all have changed by now. The speed awareness course when i did it wa

That sounds a bit iffy. I am by no means an expert on this but my take is that, You cant make use of redundancy to target an individual only to make their roles no longer required and even then there are loads of steps required to do this the right way eg consultation periods/meetings etc. Best to contact someone like this www.acas.org.uk Edited: into english

this is a good idea but be carefull as there is also allot of shite on these .. best 1 would be to buy things in private ads and sell on ebay .. wholesale places too .. im looking at doing the same as well with a similar sort of budget and it CAN be done just look around for different wholesales / auctions .. police auctions seem to be a good 1 but never had the chance to get to 1 .... best of luck police auctions are supposed to be good but not been myself

I'd ask the bloke you know.... 10K per month does seem a touch on the excessive side, I recon to make that you would need to think about getting a mini warehouse to store stuff while you sell /process it. For your 250 here is a possibility that a lad I used to work with did when he got laid off and as far as I know has not gone back to work since. Apparently Argos sell goods that have been returned to them that they cannot resell for whatever reason, its sold by auction (have a google it is out there). They come on pallets that consist of loads of different stuff and all bundle
