  1. Who's on the lean side? Dogs or ferrets? Lol I'm flat out at work just now. 7 nights a week. Getting the shifts in before it goes quiet over winter and the lamp comes out. Soon as I get chance I will pop over mate.
  2. That was my first thought. I've seen a few real good hares on the lamp but usually December January time. It's good to just get out though and see other dogs run lads so fair play. aye its the season,it would be rude not to slip.lol..ony saying the hares are soft now and some think they have world beaters the way their bumming on f/b. Definitely. Yeh I've seen a few lads bagging 4s and 5s on lamp. Won't hear off them come winter though. Lol. All goes quiet then.
  3. Tell me about it mate. Can't wait for some decent lamping weather. I'm a stokie myself.

  5. Only when I'm sleeping ?
  6. It was nice and cool tonight just before dark...
  7. I don't think it's luck mate. A calm environment, plenty of stimulation when it's awake, a full belly of good grub and good company will all help a pup settle.
  8. Looks sound for a few ferrets if you put a mesh lid on it.
  9. Same as Flacko. Mouth starts watering as I think about potential recipes. Lol. I think hunter gatherer mindset is in your genes. Not everyone can do it and before the days of commercial meat these people would have either learnt fast or gone hungry. Society allows people to be squeamish about hunting and dispatching their own game to a degree. I've told my littleun from young that it's not really optional or something to have an opinion on, it's just gotta happen. My missus can't dispatch rabbits. She won't even hold a dead one. But she will eat them and ask for seconds. Strange
  10. That dog looks hyperthermic ........ Be sound that will. Only gets worked in summer ?
  11. My mates pedigree whippet, i get a lot of enjoyment watching this dog work...
  12. Lol same here, I've loved whippets sice I can remember, before they were fashionable, when they getting fashionable, and even when they get slagged off and slated on here, for being too soft, shit coat, shit feet, no stamina blah blah blah, by the majority of egotistical OIKS on here.I couldn't give a monkey's chuff if they don't look 'hard' enough, or whatever. In fact I'm glad they don;t, to me it's part of their charm. I know, and have seen what these gentle looking dogs are capable of. I f***ing love whippets! The problem is mate there's whoppers and there's whippets. The lads who
  13. Spot on fella. Can't beat it. Hope you have many years of fun together.
  14. Went to some different ground today. Loads of scent but dogs just couldn't quite get to anything. Loads of thick cover and mostly woodlands so the runners had their work cut out. Really enjoyed watching the dogs work though and the bushers are getting better with every trip. Someone was at home here... Managed to put one in the bag...
  15. That really happens? Arseholes!Only when they know it's Gaz...If i knew it was gaz id have used glass bottles lol I wondered why some of the bottles were so small. Some were only 100ml bottles and the openings were tiny. You would only just get a straw in. Makes sense now ?
  16. That really happens? Arseholes! Yeh mate. Some Wankers in the world ?
  17. Seeing them isn't the problem. Having them chucked at you when you're working on the roads isn't very nice though. It's a load of piss if you ask me ?
  18. Cheers pal she's starting to look good now. Yeh it's a nice walk round there.
  19. Tell me about it Dave. I'm dying get some ferreting done but just can't get near anything with the cover. This busher is taking some stick aswel with it still thick. Bet she will be glad when it's dying back. Lol
  20. All the pups look belters. Nice one Ken ?
  21. Cheers Jeppi. Just need this weather to cool down now and can take them a few good places to put a few bits in the bag hopefully. Busher has settled in great and does the job I had her for. Nose is incredible and she's not scared to enter cover. I've been working on her obedience, waiting, retrieving, working on command etc. I will stick a video up of her out on her own with the rabbit skin dummy.
  22. He said he was on his hands and knees cleaning it up walshie? And also told the cleaners.
