    I use a folding 12g. Good if one bolts and very cheap to buy paid 25pounds for my one 8years ago still going strong folds in half and fits inside coat

    I grew up in northern Ireland in a time when there was a lot of strong dogs about and was lucky enough to see some work my street was full of them and looking in some of the books I remember some of them dogs but as said bygone days got a wheaton sent over to a friend of mine a few years back to be used as a guard he may be along later and give you his opinion a fella who lived next to me had a good dog and put it across a good English/staff bitch he had they were big stong pups as for going to ground no chance but that is not what they were for pal here had a glen runt of litter got to ground

    ffs that answers a question I was going to ask my box said 2 foot but when I broke through the dig was deeper than me must of been metres not feet was wondering why everyone was saying it only took 20 mins to dig 2 foot I thought it was hard ground or maybe I was getting to old lol

    It has to do with the bulb watts 100w eats the power deben tracer is only 10w cree light the is what they recommend for the longer use and that is plenty light enough

    only one pup survived that was him lost the mum soon after or I would not of kept pup between me and mates we have got sons dauthers fathers and grandfather and always bred close got a fell bitch gifted to me last season that is doing very well so will put one of the dogs to her when she comes in season just as outcross then see how they go and if any good can fold them back in to same blood again

    My young one for this season now 17 months dug him 4 times in easy places and he also bolted 3 as well stayed small only 11inch the perils of breeding close son to mother
