I once went with a mate up to the arse end of Scotland who was a delivery driver. We were driving through the night and got pulled in the middle of nowhere. They rifled through the van and then demanded one of them had a test drive to "ensure" everything was in order. I stayed with the other plod as his and my mate went on a late night scenic. He turned to me and said "we've only pulled you because my mate has never drove a transit before" :laugh: Got to give it to them. A good way to pass a long night shift. Point I'm making. Is it worth the risk.

My last renewal went up £18 because I declared a none fault claim where a drug driver wrote my motor off. The twat had been on an all night bender and was laid down rolling a spliff when he hit me. Plus another 6 cars. He admitted and was charged. So why do I have to pay more for a non fault claim. Oh..! They also changed me £14 for protecting my NCB with no guarantee it would be protected? !! Am I missing something here?

Yes. But they were both somewhere where they shouldn't have been. Another was pulled in the early hours because the police were bored and were picking faults with his motor. Took his gun for testing and he got it back after 6 months.

Grey area or not. You are responsible. I'm not saying you must test every pellet type available just on the off chance it may go over. If you receive test data from the manufacturer why would you?

I would rather poke my eyes out with a trolley jack than deal with them c**ts. I went with one call when I got rid of my van. All good. Reasonable quote. Happyish days. They waited until the cooling off period was up then decided that I couldn't transfer my NCB as it had come from a commercial policy. Generously they re quoted at over 2k to which I politely declined. Twats are still sending letters from a bogus recovery outfit after the cancellation fee. I've begged them to take me to court. Nice going wolfdog. They are not something we have up here in the north of the uk. I do a lot of motorway miles and I saw my first few the other day. 45 miles north of Bristol on the M5. I mistook the first one for a dog until I got side on to it..!! Anyone lucky enough to shoot them regularly and would offer me the opportunity to come along? Please give me a shout What gauge mesh are them cages you use wolfdog? I bet they have to withstand some abuse.

It can be a lucky dip at times Once had a cat in a drop box. I wasn't expecting that at all. Near on shit my pants when I lifted the lid and it came flying out at me.

Are you using a meat type bait ?Hedgehogs shouldn't enter a trap if you're using grain as bait, but rats will. I caught hedgehogs for 9 or 10 days in a row in a cat trap when using dog food as bait. On the 2nd last day I marked the Hedgehog with a bit of whitewash and sure enough he was in the trap the next morning. I had been catching the same one all along. I've caught plenty of hedgehogs in cages baited with nuts for squirrels or carrot and apple for rabbits. Create a tunnel with sticks and reduce the door opening size without hindering the operation of the trap. You only need a small opening for a rat.
