I haven't read any in years. Not since they became catalogues. Two thirds advertising and the rest bias reviews and the odd write up.
A mate has just started writing for AGW. I wish him the best and hope that those who buy and read these mags enjoy his stuff.
To be honest I never continued looking. I don't know if there is a plastic coated version but you could always get it dipped yourself.
Problem will be if you plastic coat that small holed stuff it may block the holes too much and be a pointless task??
I looked into using the stuff. For both boxes and hutches etc. The perforations where the mesh is split and expanded are razor sharp. Just like a cheese grater!!
Nothing wrong with playing with ideas
I'm not too keen on that expandable mesh on the poaching box. (Pic 1).
Nice idea but not ferret friendly. I can see a nail or two being lost or at worst cut toes.
I posted 2 snaring threads at the beginning of the year. Out of a few hundred views there was only a couple who bothered to comment. So clearly no one is interested in anything other than molecatching topics.
I resent your comment. Some of us know our way around the right end of of a screwdriver and the pritt-stick. Gunsmith...give over.
Perhaps gunsmith wasn't the word. "Someone other than me" is the phrase I was looking for.
And which is the right end of the screwdriver?
the blunt end you hit things with.
That's a bummer.
I'm not sure if you can get a replacement CZ one but after seeing that and the faffing around bonding another on. Would you want to bother?
An option would be a bisley adjustable but you would need a good file or flap disc for a grinder to shape it to the stock.
A couple of pilot holes and it would screw straight on.

BSA magazines have never been the best and not indexing is not uncommon.
Try another mag.
It could also be the magazine cycling lever within the action. You can give it a little "tweek" up with a small screwdriver but I would check the mag first.
