  1. Hi A few more oldies Webley mk1 air rifle (.177) Webley Service mk2 (.22 barrel only) These are both Webley Ospreys but the shorter one suffered an accident with the previous owner, It was dropped and the fat barrel snapped I had the thin, Carbine Tracker barrel spare so I warmed the breechblock with a blowlamp slightly (Makes the threadlock let go) then used an extractor to unscrew the stubb, Simply screwed the tracker barrel in and ended up with an Ospracker!! Webley Falcon (.22cal) Webley Vulcan KS .22 Some little Webbos.. Hmmm! I have se
  2. Hi all I love older guns and British in particular!! Mk1 Airsporter/Club (.177ca).. Mixed bag!! Another mixed bag but newer!! Lovely Mk6 Airsporter from the 1970's (Swapped a Customised Crosman 2250 for it!!) BSA Airsporter Stutzen tap loader (Only made for one year then went to rotary breech).. Two Mod D at left, Two Standard to the right.. Some little Beesas! (Scorpion pistols) A couple more li'l Beesas, 240 Magnum, One in each cal. Size comparison of and old BSA Buccaneer and a modern BSA Ultra multi!! Webley Mk3 rifles. I
  3. Cracking job Mac The Airsporters are my fave Beesa! Think I have around thirteen at the mo I had a mk2 given free (Just had to pay postage!) which looked like it had stood against a barn for ten years!! The stock had been sun bleached so badly that I couldn't see any grain below it!!, The steel was rusty but ten minutes rubbing with oil soaked coarse wire wool improved it no end!! Strangely it cocked and fired as smoothly as any of my non rusty ones!! Some pics.. Ten minutes later.. By the way, That rearsight is non original to the gun, The
  4. I can sit all day and look at other people's pics of guns!! That 35l looks the mutts nuts now mate! Well done john
  5. Thanks for the advice John, I've done some reading up on them so I've been prepared lol, however that is a proper blocked barrel mate Got it to the range today and spent some proper time shooting it, I think I might have a good one John, fingers crossed. I'm interested to know if you've still got the S16 Gun Bag though John? I looked all over the house for it years ago, It was brand new in a brown cardboard box, No idea what happened to it, It was still in the box as I never used the S-16 (Was leaking terribly ) S'ppose I may have sold it as I knew that I wouldn't be needing it
  6. They're just about identica to what I use!! Think I may try my Bonsai branch cutters as they cut straight in not having the agled part
  7. How do you know that? Ha ha ha ha!! When I was a kid my right thumb was like a frying pan from hitting it every other shot! I threw the Milbro away probably a thousand times but always retrieved it!! John
  8. Hi I acquired this off a lad on facebook, Think he made it in the machine shop where he worked at the time The only problem is that the sprues are a little short so the blade of the cutters are pushed in to the ball, I need to modify some cutters to cut with a round cut rather than flat!! They're a gnats knacker under 10mm and weigh in at this (Around 90 grains) John
  9. My tip is not to put your thumb in the centre depression that is actually designed for it, Sooner or later you'll get a throbbing thumb!! Don't ask how I know!! John
  10. The scales on the OP's catty look like cowhorn to me John
  11. Please make sure nyou ram the bolt fully forward as with mine, I didn't, The gun just clicked, I cocked it again, same thing! I wasn't pushing the bolt hard enough and filled the breech/barrel with crammed in pellets! I had to make a screw ended rod to use like a corkscrew to get them out!! My bugger leaked all the time I had it, I couldn't hear it when I bought it as i've worked in a heavy foundry all my like so i'm mostly deaf, The wife asked why it was hissing when I bought it!! I shoulda gone back and wrapped it round the sellers neck!! Ended up selling
  12. You're doing a fab job of the 35L Jimmy Regarding the black stains, Depending upon what it is, A bleach bath may removove it, If it's an oil stain, Oxalic acid will most likely remove it Here's a Mk1 HW80 that I bought from a local dive shop, It was pitted very deeply so I had it on my 30"x1" linisher but only on the slack area above the platten, Kept going until i'd removed metal to the bottom of the deepest pit!! I polished it then a mate got it Hot chemically re blacked for me.. Stripped and partially polished. Reblacked The whole.
  13. Can't blame him for wanting to keep the HW35, They're lovely old guns, It's a Luxus stock too The 35 is my fave Weihrauch This one is a Luxus stock too (Not as nicely figured as your mates ) And a manky botched Export model that's been polished.. John
  14. Crikey! I've actually more rifles than pistols by about three to one.. There's so many different Webley pistols!! My personal favourite is the Premier in steel (Or the Senior!) These are Webleys, The strange one at the right is the Webley Stinger, They weren't really very popular, They shoot BB's, This one wouldn't shoot as the innards were as dry as a Nuns chuff!! Others include the Alecto which is reckoned to be quite powerful, Then there's a Mk6 copy, Fabulous pistols and a pretty close copy of the original Webley .455 revolver!! These days there's copies of all sorts o
  15. Makes sense with decent glue Screwing in to the edge of plywood isn't the strongest method, The glued in brass rod would be much stronger!!
  16. Nath, Did you put a long screw down the pistol grip from the inletting for extra strength? I had to with this HW95 stock, It had already been glued but I decided upon a bit more hold The crack can be seen here.. I didn't like the patchy light tan colour so I ended up doing a patchy dark brown colour!! You made a superb job of the laminated stock John
  17. Hi all Acouple of old Milbro catties, One is the standard small framed type that I had as a kid (And ended up with a permenant sore thumb!), The other is for firing maggots out when fishing! (Maggapult!).. Cheers, John
  18. Nice looking rifles John I do like those fatter silencers. The bloke that I bought this off gave me the original. It's seen better days though. Do you find the back end to be really long on these? I could do with my neck being 4" longer for my one. Also, how do you stop the tophat from moving? I read that the 2 grub screws shouldn't be done up too tight because they can damage the threaded tube that the tophat sits on. Hi Jonjon The correct way to set the power is to adjust the tophat until the power is what you want it at then a feeler guage is inserter between the rear
  19. Hi Your Stealth (Looks like a Storm now!!) Looks a cracking bit o' kit , I've two Stealths, One is fantastic, The other needs new valve parts, as the internals are damaged! EDIT- forgot to say, The top one needs that parts!! I'll have to buy some Acetal rod from flrabay ang make a new one! I'll have to skim the seat in the lathe too.. John
  20. The blue/grey is just the primer, It'll be spray painted, Probably black but whatever there is a available!! Years ago I can remember seeing some 1930's doors in a house that really looked like strange wood, Was told that it was paint which shocked me!! Apparently it was two different colurs that were two different types of paint that wouldn't mix, It looked like light and dark grain!! Never heard of a modern day similar product though John
  21. It would probably stun a rabbit if I bashed it over the bonce with it!!- Wouldn't kill it as the timber is soft!! John
  22. Do you mean Kassnar Moley? If so they extremely good period scopes with quality Japanese glass Mine has a Meopta 6x42 which I think is a centrefire scope that's been reparalaxed for airgun ranges (May be wrong though!!) John
  23. Hi Moley It's a late Fenman as the scope rail was dropped on the later guns and dovetails were cut straight in to the cylinder, Yours has a Walnut stock, Mine has a Shedua stock, I swapped one of my HW95's for it You did extremely well for the price!, A little tip, If you strip the action for any reason, Never try cocking the gun out of the stock as it damages them!! I used mine at the Boinger bash at Micks farm in Nuneaton, After half an hour my arm was nearly dropping off, I chrono'd it when I got home, It was doing aroung 18ft lbs I removed the valve plug at the rear and
  24. Latest incoming is this XS78 that's been tuned and adorned with blingy brass!! I bought this gun some years ago for £20 as a bog standard 78, My mate fancied it so I let him have it for £20, He carbined it, Tuned it then added the brass.. I recently refinished the stock for him and then liked how it looked so asked for first refusal if he decided to move it on!! He phoned me a few days later and said I could have it!! Trouble is that he didn't want any money for it, I couldn't take it under that condition and told him I'd post some money through his letterbox! He then said it w
