  2. ASI stands for Anglo Spanish Imports yet they imported guns from Germany too! I've an ASI Statical which is a semi recoiless gun that upon firing, The action slides back much like the TX200 SR and Diana 54 Airking but a couple or more decades before AA and Diana produced their sledge guns!! They also sold the ASI Paratrooper, I had a couple of those but I sold one and kept one, Couldn't sell that one as it was a gift!! The ASI guns were all made by El Gamo years ago but imported by ASI, El Gamo I think are just known as Gamo now and i'm pretty sure they're
  3. It sounds to me like your good lady is a keeper Moley!! That looks a cracking rifle, Hope you both enjoy it immensely ? I all the years i've been shooting, I've only ever bought two guns brand new!!, One was a Gamo too, A Gamo Stutzen, T'uther was one of the last ever Sharp Ace to enter out shores!! John ?
  4. Sorry Jamie, I didn't make it, I had something like a headcold, Had three of the buggers in the last six months, Looks like i've developed an allergy though as Beconase stopped it getting any worse!! I'm hoping to get to the June Boinger bash!! May see you then hopefully ? John ?
  5. A couple more, Bought this BSA Breakdown model in .177" cal today at the Vintage airgun collectors fayre at Melbourne.. Sorry if I posted any of these pics before! .25" BSA Supersport.. This was my Original mod50 typ 01 but I let a lad have it years ago, He sold to another chap, I got to buy it back recently, It's just the same as when I sold it apart from a couple of marks in the stock!! Acvoke air pistol that I bought from a friend (Was his father in laws but he was moving to Scotland and didn't want to take it with him!
  6. DAMN!! I bought another! A .25" BSA Supersport!! ? Also acquired a couple of scopes too although I ended up fitting an old Hakko 4x32 to the gun.. The scopes are an Edgar Bros 20x42 and a Simmons Pro Hunter 3-10x44, I think both are actually centrefire scopes and probably not much use (Parallax?) for airguns! John ?
  7. Hi I bought this rusty mk1 HW80 for £60 from a local SDS shop, I used the slack part of the belt on a 30"x1" linisher to grind down evenly until I reached the bottom of the pitting, I then polished it on a very fine belt and a friend got it hot chemically reblacked! ? Cost of the reblack was £25 as I did the prep work, It came out OK ? After reblacking.. I did actually find a .177 cal barrel that I think was cut down and recrowned for my other HW80 which has an HW85 barrel fitted!! EDIT- Forgot to add a pic straight after the chem
  8. Hi I've two and a half Original 45's (Two full guns and a stockless action!), Have to say I think they're fabulous rifles!, One is .177, t'uthers are .22.. This one is .177cal and was a Jubilee model but a former owner removed the forestock panels that depicted the factory at Rastatt in Germany along with the badge that was let in to the rear of the stock too I also like the underlever version, The model 50, I have these three and another in bits, Must get round to rebuilding it one day!! Cheers, John ?
  9. Just when I decided I was going to thin the herd, I found it difficult to part with any! I sold four cheapo Chinese jobbies and that was it!! (I then bought six more!) ? I bought this old Akvoke as I wanted one for ages!! Oooops!!, Looks like I broke it! ? I also bought my old Original mod50 type 01 back that I foolishly sold years ago!!, It cost me more to buy it back too! ? This HW97k was on one of the freead sites, I put it in to watching and didn't realise it sent the seller a massage, Next thing I got a message from a mate asking it was me that's watc
  10. I sold my type 01 Original mod 50 some years ago and instantly regretted it, got chance of it back a few weeks ago, it's going in the box with me when they nail the lid on!! ??

  12. British Blades was closed down for good by the owner (Martyn) John
  13. Micky I don't know if you use facebook but there's several groups on there that only deal with the 22** range of Crosman's, Ratcatcher, Rabbitstopper etc, they rework the Ratties to get the power up to respectable (But legal) outputs as they come from the factory set quite a bit lower than the legal limit, You get a few less shots but the stopping power is better Here's two that I had, I still have the longer black one but the silver polished one went in a trade for an 'As New' BSA Airsporter mk6 Both had better breeches than they came from the factory with, Proper eye
  14. Oooh! That early 97 looks the biz!! John
  15. I've had that one for a lot of years Mac! That extra few inches of moderator makes a hell of a difference to the standard one, It quietens the muzzle report fully but then the bang of the hammer hitting home is heard!, There's a mod for that though, It's to epoxy thin rubber on to the face of the hammer! John
  16. A couple more.. A couple of HW77's, Top one is a 1983 mk1, Bottom is a later one but fitted to a HW97 stock.. Walther LG55t HW95 on an early HW85 stock! Highly tuned Chinese copy of a Crosman 160, Shoots spot on! Diana mod 27 Export BSA Meteor mk2 Webley Falcon A couple of Jackal sidelevers, Top one is Air Arms, Bottom is earlier Sussex Armouries. Chinese 'Trigon', Won this in a raffle!, It's a nice little youths gun..
  17. Thinking about it, I have a set of Bonsai tools which includes some strange shaped cutters!! John
  18. Sorry mate, I've no idea, It was onthe gun when I bought it Hi Mark, I like the Stealths as they're dead basic (Less to go wrong!), Also, This 1970 Venom tuned and blued HW35 is uber smooth to cock and shoot, I found the gawjuss Luxus stock on Facfebook for £40! A few more faves! Ha ha ha!!, I think I just spoilt it a bit more!! John
  19. A few of these are elsewhere now as I traded some!, Also sold one that was leaking badly, Had to sell it (Logun S10) for a hundred quid less that I paid for it as it was leaking from the day I bought it! (It's crap being mutton Jeff!) BSA 'Long Toms' Some multi pumpers (American and Japanese) My fave Webbo's.. Some projects Some little uns A couple of Gunpower Stealths A couple of Shinsung Careers German Original mod 50, I've four in total but one is in bits! I've some more but it will take too long, I'll
  20. Hi I have some naturals that I collected whilst chopping back overgrown hazel hedges in my back garden!!, Collected a heap more since!! Also have a mould that will produce five 10mm lead balls at a time, Trouble is that I need to make a bespoke sprue cutter as ordinary side wire cutters cut in to the ball as the sprues are very short!! John
  21. Hi Comanche The older one in bits looks like my Diana mod27Export, Mine has no markings, I was told they were acid etched which invariably wears off!! Mine even has the cracks in the same spot on the stock!, Mine was 'converted to O ring on the piston head and resprung with an ox spring by a so called 'Gunsmith' it was shooting extremely low pwered, Something like 2ft lbs as the O ring was the wrong size! I put my finger over the transfer port and pushed the piston down the cylinder with a large screwdriver, There was absolutely no resistance!, A 20mm x 2mm O ring had been fitted, I fi
  22. Hi Speaky There's some on Fleabay for forty three and a half quid (With 49p P&P) Quick delivery too as their warehouse is in the UK, Brilliant pump! I've bought one to pump up my fenman that was shooting at 18ft lbs so I let some air out, It's down to 8ft lbs now!! I tried the pump on my PP700 pistol and it did the job well John
  23. Hi I bought one of these last week off fleabay, Put an offer in and got it for a tad under £38 Only tried it on my PP700 PCP Pistol and it pumped it up very quickly but it only has a small cylinder!! I actually bought it to pump up my Fenman as it was doing 18ft lbs , I let some air out with a taps on the schrade valve, Tested it again, It was doing just 8ft lbs!! I think it will sort the Fenman out, I prefer my rifles closer to 11 than 12ft lbs , BTW, These pumps are actually in the UK and only take a few days to arrive, They also come with two or three sets of spare seals and a pa
  24. Hi all Here's a pic of my three old aluminium catties, The smaller one I always had one as a kid, I always had a right thumb the shape of a frying pan as every other shot hit me on it!! I threw it away every time but always retrieved it The Warden in the middle was made by Harrisons (Makers of the Gat gun!!) and the at the right is a Milbro 'Magapult' for fishing, Don't think they were very popular though! I took a large Hawthorne down in the back garden on tuesday, Got a small pile of natural forks from it!! John
