    Depends on what you want as there's a good few good dogs sat in dog homes,some are stricter than others on what sort you want and how you keep them,ie,outside or indoors...

    When i lived in pembrokeshire and fished off the rocks a lot if i was bottom fishing and up high,i'd make a float rig on a running trace type thing and clip it on my main like and let in slide down.Caught a few things on this method like makeral,pollock and pouting and once had a bull huss on the bottom rig and a cracking pollock on the float at the same time..Chesil looks like a beach you could maybe do that on with it's steep banks????..

    It's not 5 months old,it's still a baby so let it be a baby in it's ways still.It should just still be a quick game for it retrieving anything so don't push the time spent doing it for to long as when out in the field does a dog retrieve things one straight after another anyway?,they don't unless it's a gun dog and then there's a hunt for it to find it first.Little bits and keep it fun ..

    I spent nearly 20 years living on the road as for want of a better word a hippy traveller and have lived in all sorts from Bender tents,bow top wagons to a double decker bus and by far it was the best years of my life.When my kids have all grown up and left the nest and are all sorted i'll end my days back on the road as it's a lot less hassle than the rat race of modern life full of it's crap we really don't need.... I will add that's a cracking old trailer marshman and any idea on make?,winchester or eccles maybe?...

    That bitch can't wear a tight collar as she chokes and coughs real easy ,she runs loose with me or wears a little harness thing my misses bought her for normal walks and that's why it's a little looser than say some would have it but it can't pull over her head.     Out this morning at first light and we thought we'd have to be early to find to ground as although it was misty the sun was burning it off quick time and it was warming up,so we set off with the keepers son jumping in the motor with us as he just loves coming out with us and we went through checking a few holes we'd seen pulled or run through recently and all drew a blank,we walked a few hedge rows like you do looking for any new places then we checked the earth we had a dog fox out of a few weeks back with my russell.Now i wasn't just using her to prove a point to old FD but i let my plummer

    Where i'm currantly working i drive the same sort of way as one of the shoots i do the vermin work on and last week instead of driving to work i spaced out and turned off to go to the shoot and ended up an hour late,my boss knows what i do with my dogs and he thought it dead funny as it goes...

    I have taken her and am due to go back for a scan as her being as old as she is my vet wanted to do as many external tests and checks as he can before he cuts into her,he's a good vet who isn't just milking me for extra's before a must have op. ?

    I used to have this old ali cross thing and a bedlington terrier along with a jack russell of sorts when i was living down in cornwall and they used to spend hours and hours hunting the mice from the tussocks of grass out in the paddocks surrounding where we lived.One day my ali thing came back from the fields with his belly all bloated full of mice,i know it was full of mice because he threw them up all over my caravan floor and there must have been 50+ of them in the pile ..

    Hopefully sunday (but the weathers looking very warm) as i'm out on the same estate and we got 4000 acres of next doors shoot to go look over as well.I am making the most of her as it goes as iv'e recently found some lumps on her tits and that ain't a good sign in a older dog,she's been a bloody good old dog to me and has given me many years of great sport from bushing rabbits to having a dig (believe it or not,lol) and i'll miss her greatly when she goes so yeah i'm enjoying her while i can and she's getting a chance at some sport while she can and i'll post about it if i can ..

    My dogs have been the same and that old plummer bitch has taken thousands of rats in her life time but she don't half feck around with mice,old FD would have absolute kittens if he saw her on a mouse ?...

    Demadectic mange (spelling ?) is caused by stress,it's the parasite all dogs have but their own immune system keeps it in check,it's when stress causes and unbalance in that immune system the parasites numbers increase and it turns into mange. Sarcoptic mange is a straight parasite and can be caught by any dog or fox or even human as it's scabies in humans..
