There was a nice old school pre rave festival in Warwickshire over the weekend, all old school new agers and the dungaree wearing hippie types but anyone had tried to leave a mess like that and there'd been shown the errors of there ways that's for sure....

Here's a true story that very well may give reason why the Red deer in the forest are some of the best in the UK, a farm in the village i live in once had it's own deer herd and pack of hounds to hunt the carted stag and the farmer who owned it had enough money to improve the deer herd by travelling Europe to find the best Red deer he could to bring back and improve his herd.He found what he was looking for in Hungary and brought some deer back, a few years later on the turn of the 1800's - 1900;s the hunting of the carted deer was banned and he was told to cull his herd, well he didn't shoot

If a big hairy lurcher pup bred along those lines came up it'd be hard to find reason not to get one that's for sure ..

I'm not sure about sika or cwd but i know cwd are right on the boundries as i have permission there, but someone better informed might be able to tell us as i'm hardly in or around the Forest as such these days as i don't have a lurcher any more...

I know in Thetford forest a few years back the wardens had a open season on just about all the deer as it was on the local news about it and night sooting licences have been around for years if you can put your case across the deer are travelling onto your land at night causing damage, the farmers act or something but i'm no shooting man so just hear say as such but i know some lads that have had the licence in the past..What ever i myself am seeing more road kill deer than ever before and soon some poor fecker will die because of it but feck knows how to deal with other than a few months of ha

I heard they were thinking of taking away the seasons as such and having a open season on everything just to put a dent in the numbers of deer which there are more deer now in our countryside than at any other time in history, fecking things are a pain around me and i have had 2 local farmers ask me to get rid of all of them this last 2 weeks as there wrecking the hedgerows due to there not being decent grazing for them due to the hot weather..Maybe it's time to think about getting a big lurcher again with all the big game about..mmmm ....

Lost count over the years gone by of how many OD's iv'e brought back but well over a dozen or more ,had a few very bad car accidents i jumped in on and pulled folks out of. I myself can't even watch a puppy being jabbed but i have put my hands into a wound and held a bust artuary together so the victim didn't bleed out, messy old do that was and i have said to my misses before why is it always me this sort of shit happens to?,she replied it happens because you can deal with it where as lots of folks haven't a clue what to do. Fecking great so this sort of shit ain't ever going to end then ...

That is true for the partridges and those who have good reliable game breeders are mostly ok the ones i know but i know a fella who just sold some 6 week old poults for £10 each and that was a thousand birds going down on 8000 acres as there the only birds that shoot could get,it is a shame as only the better off can afford the price rise per bird and most of them ain't countrymen or ever will be.Me myself it affects me not and as it goes i think feck em make them pay extra as all they do is come into the countryside to kill stuff and that ain't what it's about imo..Packem is doing a study of

,,brilliant post and next year your'l just have to feed a few in the nest so they get a bit hand tame for him to have one perched on his hand rather than the gripped by it..

My old plummer bitch i could take and did take her any where in any stock from pheasants, ducks, chickens up to big stock like cattle and she was 100% around it all, she'd mark and when she did i'd have put my world on her not telling a lie. She'd bush and work with ferrets but wold never go into a rabbit hole unless a fox was present and when she did go to ground she stayed till she was dug to..Some are a bit gassy and i couldn't have kept my one outside in a run but she was a perfect house dog and so it didn't matter to me, under rated little dogs by a lot of folks but those that give them a go

Looking at those pics again there's been a big tracked something go through there and i'd be checking if it was wide enough to have gone through the gate as the blame could be on the wrong person on that site in the pics. It'd be easy to pull that post, pull down the fence and push that post back in with a digger or any machine with a arm on it..Just saying what my own eyes see ...

A drug user is one of the easiest people to find because there is one place he will be at at least once a day and all you got to do is hang close to the dealer or tell the dealer how much trouble he's going to have if he don't turn him over to you when he calls. It's always worked for me in the past when looking for a drug user who i wanted to get hold of ...

It is still law to have a terrier or two to mop up the vermin when threshing,i used to help on a farm a few miles from me at threshing time and take my terriers along and we never had less than 150 rats out of a stack and it was always funny how the terriers would just leave the hundreds of mice and only go for the rats.Brilliant sport but my god i got blisters on blisters and eyes so sore i thought i was going blind from the dust on a few days when we needed it threshed out quick as the rain was coming, the farmer grew the corn for thatching straw so it has to be old school so to keep the sta

The same officers did the miners and the Beanfield (the old SPG etc),feck knows it's ever called The Battle of the Beanfield as it was just family folks in their homes going to a festival that wasn't against the law to do so.The thing about the Stonehendge festival was if it had gone on that year it would have been 11 years constant and then the powers that be couldn't have stopped it ..The people cutting the fences are people fleeing for safety, the people driving about were surrounded and couldn't get away, The man who is pleading for help was a massive positive influence on my life when i wa

King crab and some other type but not that sort of spider crab, that sort is ok eating but loads of faffing and it's not worth messing with the body and you just eat the meat from the legs. I'd have cooked a few of the big ones up and any of the small peelers i'd have stuck in the freezer for winter fishing bait...

Then a massive fair play to those willing to stand up for what they believe in.....

The huntsman of that pack had a young lurcher off us a number of years ago, a red coloured collie x and it was a lass off here(dairy farmers wife) who set it up but lost track of them over time..
