    I kept wondering where all the acorns were coming from that i kept finding in the hutches that i had my ferrets in last year,thought the kids were playing tricks on me just didn't think about the pigeons i was feeding them.

    Looking good mate,may i add that it may be worth getting it waterproofed on the floors inside as once your ferrets soil the floor that wood takes an age to get dry again,or to use a litter tray.Just trying to help mate and again grand job with the hutch.

    I go out with a lad who used to have a pot bellied pig that would smash it's way out of it's shed every time they went lamping,it was easier to let it go along than have it smashing the place up and squeeling all night.

    Tim/sue you ruined your own site,don't sell to working homes and don't ever seem to have anything possitive to say about anybody or anything,i was just wondering why your on this site?.On your own site you threw everyone off who worked their dogs or did not agree with your every word,even folks from your own club have been treated like shit.So it must mean you are only here for the sad job of being a mouthy twat,guess what you won so now sod off and do something about upseting folks all the time look at your selves, being known only for mouth rather than your dogs?,very sad.

    A few lakes round my way have been done by otters,there was a trust place that closed down and they just let them go.A few of the old boys have been seeing them off but they have done no end of damage.Are their holts protected like a billy set is,or is it just them?.

    See if you can think about a outside run bit as well,sheds can get a bit warm in summer.Grand shed to work with mate.

    To line breed anything you mate related stock,if it works and you get good stock it is called line breeding.If you get any deformaties it is called inbreeding,try to find another hob really as she will come in heat at some point and will mate as soon as she can.

    Butcher off cuts is all i feed my dogs and ferrets,i have a mate who picks up all the waste from a butchers and between us we feed 5 terriers,11 ferrets and 5 lurchers all it costs us is a drink at xmas.Most butchers have to pay a bone man to take their waste away and as we don't cost him he is well happy to give it to us.We don;t take large bones off him and do sometimes get to much fat but all in all great stuff,i devide it up into dayly feeds and freeze it,we get a good range of good clean off cuts and ribs and small eatable bones.To be honest can't belive i haven't fed my dogs this way soo

    I lived outside Chard for a bit and although have seen loads of folk fishing at Lyme have never seen anyone catching anything,the estury of the river Axe at seaton was my favorite place during the spring and summer months.I used to go on the mudflats before the road goes over the river at the harbour(little bait and tackle shop there as well),plenty of good bass and big eels on crabs to be had there and you can find the crabs under the rocks there as well.Beer was also good for seeing large mullet along the shore but never got to fish there,still a good bit of coast is dorset better than the c

    Keeps was it you that had the pic of the dog,rat and ferret pic on the old wpt?(pic of the season?),if so thats one of the best i've seen.

    I have mine in a court as well and cleaning them out can be hard work,they dig into the shavings bag,get into the poo bucket and just have to attack the broom when brushing up in there.A jill i have usally leads the assallt and she has learnt to jump across onto me,her name is mischief.I give them a paper sack to play with but they would rather play wind up with me.

    I lived on the road for the best part of 20 yrs and most of them were on hippy traveller sites(for want of a better word),a lot of folks i lived beside were or could be classed as anti's.I had my ferrets and dogs and i worked them to say i've been in a few rows over the years is a bit of a understatement but my sport is my life it's in my blood and will always be that way.Most folks don't know what or how hunting is done of any sort and i've allways tried to educate them rather than argue,but as in the anti world just like the hunting word some folks know it all and can't be told.If folks are

    That is a shame mate.I have in the past and will do no doubt in the future well upset some folks by not letting anyone but me take dogs out with my ferrets,i dont care how much they bleat on about how good their dogs are with ferrets.All i know is my dogs are trustable and my ferrets are safe,would ruin a day having a dead ferret and a dog to keep it company in it's hole in the ground.

    This i built for finches but the ferrets took it over first,it has a 6x4 shed on the back of it with their sleeping boxes in.Have to say they love it and it's grand to see them running around playing from my window.

    I have a hob and a jill,they are brother and sister and sandy coloured.They haven't been worked but are well ready to,the hob is quite large but nothing silly.They came out of a albino jill with a polecat hob,they are 8 months old.I live near norwich and if you can or are willing to travel that far for them you can have them for free.I'm saying this as i think the world of my ferrets and want a f**king good home for them and if someone would be willing to travel for them then to me they will care for them as well.I do work thier parents and the mother works grand,the father i use as a finder i

    NO mate,you may have to be a little strong with him to make sure he knows to leave the ferret alone but not to old at all.Your dog may or may not have chased anything live yet so won't know the thrill of the chase as such so may be easier to break him,but get them drinking milk together out of the same bowl and let them get to know each other slowly.Give them room so the dog can move away from the ferret if he feels crowded as he may snap at it,but let him know you are boss and ferrets are out of bounds.You can put the hutch down so the dog can see them and you can see how he acts with them wh

    With rod and line,read about it in a mag a year or two ago the japs come over to net or long line for them though.

    Grand bit of fishing spinning for pike and perch,allways try to use a small abu baitcaster rod i have and you can really feel them.Just have to be careful of mates watch straps snapping your line when your into the fish of the day!!!!.Such a handsome fish the perch one of the best looking in the river.

    41 years old and still skateboard in the summer,bit of fishing,some spanish and mexican gamefowl and thats just about it.Dogs,kids and ferrets take the rest of my time.
