  1. Cymag - the hint of nut Meg in the morning .Fecking stuff near done for a mate of mine found unconscious after doing rabbits alone .
  2. What Im guess I’m saying is that .22 subs can be dulled by an airgun rated mod which most .22 are fitted with .If I had a better mod on there would it decrease the crack or not .I was told years ago by a gunsmith to take the mod off for HV as it didn’t do it any good .Probs old wives tale .Instead of a 17 I might start using HV in .22 but hate that muzzle crack .
  3. Is that beaters day there mate .That drive was superb when I shot it .That partridge i poached in front of you will be forever engrained .Sad day though mate and keeper must be gutted .Is there no chance of it getting back up running when this flu shit runs its course .
  4. It was not the huntsman mate ,I know them all .I agree it was a shit show but no different from most southern counties hunts I’ve been to for the last 30 years .
  5. Do you lads use same silencer as subs for the high velocity rounds as they seem to have more crack than a 17 through mine .
  6. If only it was the huntsman Glynn .That the first whip mate .Huntsman was stood watching .
  7. Nice mate .Sweet varmint round out to 200 with right ammo .Let us know how it performs please .
  8. Just as well use the .22 subs at 50 mate surely .Quieter ,cheaper and same result .Mate has his 17 zeroed at 100 and pushes that out to 150 ,seen it .
  9. Getting pissed off with these no show imoji things
  10. Do enough mate and irregularity pops up .Sit and talk about it ,feck all happens ?
  11. I’ll not hold my breath then .There’s hope but if airguns are allowed it why not .22 subs and 17 hmr .Would start an in house battle for equality .
  12. Same mate .Be a dark day when you can’t pop out with the .22 and whack a few vermin due to lack of decent ammo
  13. The hornet drops off at 200m mate .At least the one I used did .You don’t really want to be allowing hold over on a fox at range ,much better to trust the kit and shot at it with the .222 or the .223
  14. Shit loads everywhere mate but very few killing them in number .If you want I’ll pass on my number but he wants numbers not just the odd ones .
  15. That’s amazing mate .They ain’t known for taking a bullet .Well done for finding it though ,did the terrier wind it .
  16. Years ago when I was a young beat keeper Stav the .22 hornet was the estate rifle .Wooden stock and rusty barrel ,Tasco sight but it shot well .Foxes and other vermin in the hundreds to that gun .When deer were on the menu it was either that or the big gun ,a 222 ??
  17. Look no further than .223 mate .50 gr bt .Flat to nearly 300 m .
  18. Very true mate but an educated reasoning says otherwise .
  19. Nice one mate .Love the roe pics around the seasons .
  20. Carry on Ken it’s no secret mate .Would of been 2018-19 season I’m guessing .Was replaced by another from over the bridge who lasted 3 seasons then an amateur group . Its now ,or was a pair of local amateur lads . My old digging partner was there back in 2012-2016 professionally. He’s now out the game sickened by the antis antics .
  21. If it wasn’t for the lead ban shite thing I’d be tempted as mate does wonders with his on the rabbits
