  2. When i worked on the phone towers we had many clamps as parking was hard to come by in main streets .Our boss always said cut them off with the disc cutter as our time was worth morethan any fine,if it arrived .Out of 23 clamps i remember cutting off ,only 4 demands were ever recieved by the company and these were ignored and nothing ever came of it .Take no notice of thse who says its criminal damage as most clampers are operating outside the law themselves. Cut one off infront the guy who put it on despite him phoning old bill .We were gone before they got there . Stand up against these ver
  3. Any views please .How many shots per bottle.
  4. Took my boy out on his first serious lamping trip to the chicken farm i do on a regular basis.Very still night with a bit too much light in the sky but youve got to try, hey . He carried the lithium battery and i left the lamping totally to him and to his credit he remembered all he'd been told . Just inside the gate ,a flick revealed two sets of eyes out amongst the sheds in this field and beneath a large sycamore tree.I squeaked and one responded perfectly ,coming down the lowered beam nicely to be stopped at about 60yds with a low whistle .I was on sticks and shot it through the chest wit

  9. Good questions Cleanspade. Those that would go outside are more than likely the purists "Working Terrier Purists". Asked a mate what did he think made the best working terrier, his answer "Border X Lakeland". I tend to concur that first cross makes for some real good working terriers as long as they are out of type purisits that have bred best worker to best worker. In other words it is all good as long as the folks arranging the breeding have thier heads in the right place. Best worker to best worker reguardless of if you are a type purist or a working terrier purist will never
  10. My money is on him getting antlered this last rut as it was pretty fresh .Good cull as well as a wall hanger That tawny-
  11. Hybrid vigour is only short term mate ,meaning it applies to the present and not the future, best to aim for traits that are bred in generation after generation .Two closely relayed types however are perfect and will set genes for the long term .I wouldnt turn down a good pup either mate but breeding it would be a different thing altogether.
  12. No mate ,i would dig a hole and start again .
  13. Glad you got him mate ,a very good stalk with the perfect outcome .The stats will be good i feel .
  14. Just for the record mate ,a type is not a breed ie Russel ,Lakeland. Dont know how old you are mate but where im from the breeds have always been just that ,seperate breeds.Within each breed there are types which is enough to be dealing with let alone going across to the unknown .A Russel man is just that and so on .A lot of people in this game will spend a lifetime messing about with crosses of various sorts whereas they could have achieved success with sticking to a breed and getting to know it inside out .Breeding best to best within a type will produce a stamp of terrier recognisable by th
  15. Cracking outing mate ,you did well to get that beast .
  16. Took the lad down to one of my farms where there is an ongoing problem with feral pigeons coming from the nearby town centre and, settling and breeding .They were in the covered yard on the rsj's and stayed put as the beam lit them up .Got all present and finished with 8 .
  17. Exactly -primary producers exemption applies to most of us .
  18. If you read what Deker has wrote then you will see that hes right .I believe what hes saying is that paperwork is not a legal requirement to take deer to a dealer, although some paperwork has to be filled out to provide traceability of the carcass. It is widely believed that every stalker needs the much criticised dsc 2 to be able to present a carcass via a hunter I.D to a dealer which is bullshit .All that is needed is a name, current address linked to the tag wrapped around the leg of the beast via the weight, where shot form. Which basically makes a mockery of the dsc does it not and rightl
