  3. Having spoke to you on the phone about this misdemenour before seeing the pics im gutted mate ,truly cut to the core .I havent shot a pricket all season and you go and take one without me . 6. Good cull animal id say ,well done mate .
  7. What was his interest in an old cull? .Goes against most of what we are told about foreign guests dosnt it .
  8. Out this morning to the market garden frist light , where id previously seen a few bucks in velvet. The rain was constant but straight down so no worries about wind for a minute .Triapsed about the boundary glassing as best as i could in the fogged up bins when i spotted a young buck on some neighbouring land .I dont think he saw me as he was ass on but he was on a mission to get to a patch of cover that also over the boundary .He jumped the fence and even before he landed another buck came charging at him from within the firs ,an older scraggly beast that i would of liked to of taken .The you
  9. Well done on the set up mate .My only point would be that the nose area is a bit too square .Not meant as a critism ,just an observation that can be addressed next time if the need arises .Nice buck there mate .
  10. The grass where this one was is still very short and will be cut for hay when, luckily the kids will be up a bit .This kid was in a patch of cosksfoot which always pushes higher in a meadow .
  11. No' may 'about it mate ,defo a medal .Im guessing high silver.
  12. Martin came up for a stalk and the long and short is that we never saw a buck but did chance on a kid in the grass ,motionless as only they can be .Estimated at maybe 2 weeks old but no more .Mother moved in as we walked away .Couldnt see what the sex was but made our evening.
  13. So non of you treat rats, mice, or rabbits any different to say a deer?? I find this hard to believe. Never killed a rat with a stick or put out poision? Condeming it to a slow death from hyperthemia. All life treat the same.....BOLLOCKS You are making yourself look a bit of a tit John .Quit while you still can ,not good for business .Never poisoned anything in my life mate .
  14. Now then mate ,you know who is looking for pics of that quality .Some cracking photos in there that would grace the pages of any book
  15. Personally i tend to give every living creature respect ,even rats deserve to die quickly and to be honest im a bit surprised at you Mr Robbo.Deer are ,as far as my landowners are concerned deemed as pests to be destroyed on sight and before you say yes but they are my living, well, they are part of mine too .Luckily i do things my way and keep the popultion in check along with other species but everything gets the same respect .As to long shots they are indiferent to me as i would do the same given a better set up .Its easy to think of everyone the same level or worse than ourselves regards
  16. Its only easy because i make it look that way mate .As you know you still have to get in position for the shot no matter how many deer you have and with more deer thats more eyes .Your just jealous anyway
  17. One consolation is that these pricks usually dont stay at it for long, going on to bikes or cars hopefully .Luckily for us there arnt that many at the game around our area but of course there are the pretenders as with any where .
  18. Agreed .Dont know if theres any official records kept on the height of antler but this one is 12 1/2 inches high ,317 mm from top of skull to a line across both antlers .There were two sub adult bucks waiting in the wings from where he came from last rut and i guess their time has come this rut to step up to the mark .
  19. All day ive been itching to get out but its been cold and rainy here in Wiltshire .At 5pm the sun came out but it was still chilly in the wind .Had some tea then headed out to a spot i rarely go as its a very small farm of about 100 acres but holds a few deer if left alone for a while .The farmer said on the phone that hed seen a few so off i went .Got there at 7pm dead and glassed the top fields from the farm yard .Nothing there or in the fields in the foreground but there is a field tucked away out the wind on the boundary to my left .Wind was perfect for a stalk up to the gateway .As i app
