    IMO its a very week person who has any beliefs beyond what has been scientifically proved.Week people are preyed upon by those who know how to manipulate .Its a human trait that there will always be those to follow and those that do the following which was taken advantage of in times gone by to keep the masses in line ,to get them to except their lot in life .Evolution however slow is the only factual thing we have and thats good enough for me .

    I would say there is is now a lot of confusion about as to what is actually what these days in the UK with very few closed flocks here breeding to type .Most game farms as we all know have a long tradition of taking eggs from caught up birds on estates to exchange in some form or another for poults later on where a cock bird aint fussy and the resulting poults sold far and wide unless you ask for your own back .Every estate or farm ive had anything to do with hasnt been bothered about which type of poult they receive only that its healthy and the money was right .Ring necked Michigan blueback

    Quite a few tank dogs about mind ,i know of 3 .A black ,a choc and a black x lackie all doing it .The black dog is in Wales and in a bad way after a dig im told ,the choc in oxford and the other up north .The one in Wales age wise would be 6 and the other two are 5 and 7 respectively.

    IMO In this country we are starved of literature on hunting .On the continent or USA its readily available in every magazine rack .Loads of moaners on here but no one willing to take up the pen .We Brits are very quick to critisize but very slow to do f**k all about it .Harcombe may use a bit of poetic license but who dosnt ,as long as its based on the truth .     As with all things there are individuals that excel and can read a rabbit better than others .Seen a few and its no streak of luck .Matched with the ability to stand off a rabbit as it reaches the hedge and snatch a mistake as well as snatching up squatters and the dog becomes a local legend .Good luck with her mate

    Lot of romantic talk on this thread .The truth is that many dogs perished pre locator which isnt so romantic .Thank god for locators is all i can say .

    A rule of thumb for this is to feel it it for heat .If the area is warm like the rest of the body a massage will usually correct it with rest ,gentle excercise.If its hot then rest the dog ,full rest no excercise until its right .If its cool or cold to touch then needs to be looked at as may be the sign of internal bleeding .Either way mate keep an eye on it especially if the dog favours that quarter.
