  1. Not going to give the price away then mate POA is it .
  2. They are the type that likes to impose their own values on those who have lived in the countryside all their lives.Dont last long IME
  3. Exactly mate .Hes no sheep farmer ,just a messer with couple of acres
  4. Especially in sand .We always carry a squeezy bottle .Dogs hates it but stops any conjunctivitis later .
  5. This is the result of a fox preying on lambs .Three killed in all ,farmer saw it happen .I was called to deal with it and heres the result ,shot as it fed .Farmer had eyes on it from the time it killed to the time i got there. The above two pics are the result of me having to snare as there are no earths nearby or certainly none on his land . The necessary face of fox control without the option of a terrier .Three big healthy lambs killed and three foxes paid the price . The farmer saying hes never lost a lamb is a liar without a doubt, probably has fields strewn with
  6. Nothing wrong with the price at all and i wish the lad well .I also hope someone does end up with one or two because in spite of my earlier ranting i would like to see one go over here .Anyone thinking of it just needs to do a bit of research on the subject before committing themselves to something new.
  7. Im losing interest in the selling point of these terriers if they arnt any better than what we have .The poor kennelling qualities let them down too .In fact i dont think ill bother .
  8. The point you are missing mate is that over here terrier work is a sport in its own right .The dogs used are out and out digging dogs .We do not expect our earth dogs to jump through hoops when not digging .We do not require a multi tasking dog that digs one day then holds boar the next .The lads that import the jagd if they do will require the same. You have back tracked a bit on your description concerning earthwork ommitting it from your last post .What you suggested is that these terriers are in someway superior to our digging dogs, albeit it in a smug roundabout manner .All i ask is that yo
  9. Working on site years ago we had a blackies nest in a stack of pallets .Watched as they grew and eventually fledged.Having lunch one day and watching the parents feeding in a hedge when a spar comes over our head to plough into the hedge taking a fledgling .Not content he takes another on the deck the other side with the other foot .Showcased the drive and ability of these birds that were feeding young of their own nearby .Up at Gatwick airport a few years ago a spar had had a woodcock in the car park ,ground floor ,undercover .It was far from dead but the amount of feathers flying said to me
  10. Point taken mate but if they do anything other when to ground than keep quarry at bay until dug to then you need to share it because thats all i ask of a terrier when to ground .Like myself you may not have seen it all but when alls said and done if your terriers there til the end there really is no more to it .Perhaps it is you that is speculating .Lads spent years messing about with exotics when the real deal has been under their noses .I am very lucky i suppose in that i have a cracking line of blacks that do me proud .The variety of quarry is something mine never see but they see their sha
  11. Soon as you get one mate and you will if they are there ,squeeze the urine out of it onto the trap plates of the rest and then its happy days .
  12. Id be surprised if these terriers worked to any other standard than the breeds we have .They are terriers not machines .Dont get wrapped up in any hype thinking they will be the answer to it all .
  13. Dont want to piss you off further mate but this is going to .By now its pretty certain your dog has been picked up by someone who is not going to hand it in.Put up a poster with a small reward ,might jog someones memory .Might be wrong but known it more than once and scares me everytime the dogs are off away from me .
  14. Something got to happen.I feel sorry for my two children.Just needs the right people to stand up and say enough is enough .Ive been a piss taker at the expense of those who believe but id to think wed stand shoulder to shoulder and no turning of the other cheek .
  15. celebratory cucumber sarney with the crust cut off
  16. ,Django .Where can i get me a dog like that.
  17. Perhaps ill start a thread asking whos up for a revolution.Get some ideas as to what size room well need for tactical discussions and how many sandwiches to make.
  18. Good luck to anyone embarking on a venture of this sort.Be good to hear results in the future .
  19. Once parvo takes hold its usually curtains even with the drugs we have here .Its a sad fact of no innoculations so let that be a warning. I saw no sign it was parvo in the program mind as dogs excrete blood and look a lot gaunter than his dead pups . Got to agree that disinfectant in food is no way to go .
