Cracking pics Liam ,would be good blown up on the wall second pic .Only ever seen one fox in water swimming a river for no other reason than to get to other side and I was surprised to see how high in the water it was not like a dog at all .

What's Mortons saying ,and I get it ,is that the breeds most popular today ,fell type and pats were originally bred in the lakes of the borders and the north used to bolt or kill foxes in rocks .Since they were adopted down south a bulkier harder more bully type is favoured rather than a lithe bolter capable of despacthing a fox in rocks having first got to it .I agree that many of today's terriers are more boned than I've seen pictures of but I would also argue that it was the breeders of those lithe types that help breed away from type by adding bull all those years ago .

Ive no experience of rocks mate but sounds good advice .Got to be honest ,would scare shit out of me putting dog in rocks .Dogs for occasions i guess i respect that .

Being perfectly honest and perhaps my dogs are poorer for it but if a place looks dodgey i aint putting a dog in .Call me picky if you like but the lives of mine are worth more than any mans ego .

If you dont need to stage pics then why did you .Theres not a man on here that will decry a fresh pic of a dogs work providing its legal ..I would like nothing better than to see a decent plummer thread of decent working dogs that are used for regular earthwork as well as ratting .I met plummer once when we called in to his place and i was appalled at the conditions tbh as well as sussing out the man for what he was ,a pretender .He tried telling us he had the ultimate terrier for everything .I enjoy all terrierwork from bushing to digging so dont think im biased but staging anything dosnt sit
