  1. Anybody shed any light on why i cant edit my post by adding pics to it .Does editing time out if so why can others do it .
  2. The bitch in top pic is Bonny, sister to my Blade but 3 years younger, same mother and father .Bottem pic is her daughter Zola, of 5 years old to a different dog, same breeding .The two lakies are father daughter owned by same lad that has other two blacks .White lakie is totally deaf and going blind at 4 .My two a bit sore .
  3. Photobucket playing up ,theres more to come]
  4. The best and safest is rain water but tap water fill it and start the pumps day two .Fill with hose that allows water to splash into pond as chlorine evaporates faster when air gets to it .You will need to cover that pond mate with fruit mesh or something or you will lose your fish to the bloody heron as i found out to my cost first year. Was given some cracking large gold fish around pound mark and woke up to dogs going berserk early one morning in summer and heron had speared a fish and dragged it out on the decking .No matter how urban you are they will find it and visit first light and its
  5. Well i never would of believed it but two accounts are pretty convincing ,Russel owners beware lol
  6. One of the biggest dogs for a long time from a tiny one holer on an early morning dig to my 12 year old bitch Blade .
  7. Premature April fools surely .Strange aint it that a fox will bolt freely from a 2 lb ferret but will tackle a yappy dog .Juries out for me as every single fox ive ever encountered has been bested by a black dog .
  8. Photobucket in their wisdom have changed the way you copy paste from what I gather .Try click on link .The link goes yellow saying copied .Used to have to drag paste bar along long URL .Hope this helps as will be good thread .
  9. I think the gist of the thread is to do your best with whatever is to hand to create as natural a look as possible after we leave .I know what your saying about creating an entrance mate ,done it a few times too when backfill isn't available .In a large sprawling place I would never bother trying to recreate the tube but a small earth that holds regular needs care .
  10. The only club ive had dealing with seemed to be centred around a few core lads getting all the permission whilst the masses paid their subs with nothing to show for it .
  11. E.Veniard ,that's the company that used to buy our skins ,wet and wrapped skin to skin and salted .Brings back the smell straight away .As said snaring was the way to get top dollar as was no moult marks ,blue patches .Took that part of my life for granted I suppose .Us beat keepers would never get a night out if it weren't for skin money .Mate in hunt service used to go on holiday off skin money years ago but I guess that's gone now .
  12. I agree with stop ended being dug out by quarry as we've dug a place several times in the same dig .If the terrier gets the run around in this place you can guarantee it will end in that stop at 1.8 m .Breaking through to a large chamber requires more backfill than normal and we look for logs, boulders and spoil from entrances to ensure a decent job .If you ain't a fussy digger why worry what's goes in if you have to dig again ,same place another time .what annoys me is backfill where turf and topsoil are put in first ,goes on .
  13. Some deal of reality is needed here surely .If a terrier has been ratting then no one in there right mind would let it lick a kid would they .Not good even if they havnt .I've only ever had one dog indoors and that was a russel x of my mums when I lived at home years ago .Incidentally ,that dog died of lepto despite puppy jabs and yearly boosters .Part of me would love a terrier indoors but seeing the state they come home in sometimes its just better to hose them ,feed them and put them in their straw beds outside .Experience tells me most working dogs would rather be out anyway ,given the cho
  14. Building bridges doesn't come naturally to me either .
  15. A nine iron would of seen that in the bunker nicely ,cheeky fecker .
  16. few hundredRing fit and fertile . Last Time I did it 220 to take the straw's the 20 a year to store them .Well worth the money that imo yea worth doing, you dont miss a good dog till its gone, trying to replace it thats when you no. Too true mate ,if only ............................
  17. Anti wind up surely .NT dead against anything here .
  18. Very nice mate ,neat bricky too .Come spring every year you will need to jet wash everything though to keep prestine .Do a cheap ph test before adding any koi ,will save you money in long run .
  19. Does anybody bother skinning catches any more and are there still companies buying them .Just interested as i was looking back through a diary when fox pelts were averaging £15 and moles £1.50 .Early 90s.
