can some one tell me what is rong with my ferret

Do you have any idea how old it is?, and what have you been feeding it on etc. if it is a youngish ferret i would be inclined to let the vet take a look at it........but it is an expensive exercise and the outcome is not guaranteed to be favourable. -
That's entirely my point Chalky. Where do you draw the line. If someone has a personal grudge about another member how easy would it be to plaster "Dog Thief" all over the hunting life. If it happened like that to any of you..........you would quiet rightly expect the Mods to do something about it..........and remove the offending post. As mods we have NO way of knowing if an accusation is genuine or not. I hate thieves.......full stop........just as much as the next man but you have got to be reaslistic and see it from all angles. I Have asked the question about naming and shaming in the mods

As moderators on this site, we are at present trying to clean up the site of cyber bullies, name callers and people that generally turn threads into bickering argument's.......similar to this one. Kevin was NOT removed because he named a so called dog thief...... HE was PM'd by me very politely explaining why it was not the way to go about things. What if the named guy was an innocent party, how would you feel if you were accused of something that were not true and you named posted all over the Hunting Life. Well done mate..........it is great when you finally crack it..........I have made many hundreds if not thousands over the years, and still like making the odd ones now and again just to keep my hand in. Practice makes perfect so keep at it. Rolfe.

She was asking for opinions of the Tattoo........that's fair enough. Tell me where someone saying about freckely, bad skin with too much body fat, is NOT a personal attack.........which is what TG was refering too. You can get AT (ALL TERRAIN) Tyres...........i use these on my fourtrak and they are suitable for on and off road. Rolfe.

Well times are that bad during this recession it would appear that the Wood Elves.........or maybe the local Pixies have started to take in ironing to make ends meet :blink: Found this Gem whilst checking some squirrel traps.......... The annoying thing is that the local Tip is only a mile or so away.

I have a jill that suffers from this sometimes......could be ear mite.........you can get some ear-cleaner (Vetzyme do a good one suitable for small pets) They are antibacterial and should soon sort the problem out. Most pet shops will stock something........and yes treat BOTH ears. Just a couple of drops massaged well into the ear canal will soon sort the problem out (about 3or 4 days), but if it persists then you must let a vet have a look. Rolfe.

Yes that's the fox i spotted.........really stands out but the dog that LL refers too is a lot bigger........i can see that quite clearly as well.........but it's size is in comparison with the fox.........spooky.

The old boys from the village who used to take me long netting and ferreting when i was a child always used to let any black rabbits free and would never knowingly kill one. It supposedly brought bad luck. I am not superstitious and a rabbit is a rabbit to me......... But Snareman once told be a tale about a black rabbit that gave me something to ponder.

Can you see the Dog (Fox) head ........the nose is just touching his leg (the dark patch) you look up then to two eyes. Spooky indeed.

Well if you look to just below the knee on his other leg.......you will see the head of a dog with prick ears.....the nose is touching his leg.

I Spent a few minutes watching the combine going about it's work while letting the dogs have a mooch about the other day......when i heard the cheeping of pheasant poults in the strip about to be cut. Mad as it may seem. i did my best lost chick impression (the one that has lured many a fox to it's doom) and began cheeping at them. The combine was soon going to be upon them.........so i was amazed when these two little fella's came out of the wheat and headed towards me, saving themselves from a nasty end. Something similar worked yesterday when after setting a rat-trap in a food store i mutt

Stood for a couple of hours with the gun in the hope of getting a few bunnies........but only saw an old dog fox slip out way up the field. That said.........just a pleasure to be out in the glorious afternoon sunshine. You will notice that old Rolfey is a shadow of his former self in one of the pics

Squirrel jobs are notorious for repeat visits Stubby...........I tend to use cages both in the garden on the access route to the roof and in the loft itself. So.........price for more than a couple of visits........just to cover your arse mate. Rolfe.

Had a repeat call to re-ferret the gardens of a large Hall........its a private residence and the owner is obsessed with the rabbits eating his garden plants. Despite me telling him that there really were not many signs of a huge amount of rabbit activity.......he insisted we ferreted it again ( he's paying me handsomely for my efforts so who am i to argue). We ferreted the huge man-made rockery........after surrounding it with long nets, the compost heap, and under several of the larger trees in the adjoining park....... and ended the day with 6 bunnies and never saw any young ones at all.
