I don’t think it’s the fact that more people than others get colds etc, it’s their susceptibility to just putting up with it. I work outside permanently and am out with dogs most of the time when I’m not working. I get the odd stuffy nose etc but it’s only a common cold, just get on with it, I know some lads that are constantly complaining of man flu etc and in bed with the lemsips, f*cking wimps need to man up ffs.

I only keep kennelled dogs and genuinely never had a problem? I think you’re correct with the second bit though??

I have never had any problem with the dogs with fireworks whatsoever, they just never seem to be bothered about them?? These pampered pooches that hide under the couch , trembling to death need to be out more and better socialised, surely?

I wouldn’t mind giving it a go either, love seeing them about. Never seen one for 10 years and then 2 were roaming about during the day at work the other day??Docile, tame little creatures, probably led to their downfall?

Thoroughly enjoyed that , thanks for the heads up?? Seemed a real genuine larger than life character and a great father and family man, could tell how much it devastated his kids lives when he died.

Like has been said, if you spend enough time with your dogs and handle them etc daily, then you’ll know weeks before that the dogs are starting to show an interest in a bitch and be on your guard, and then keep them apart. Pretty obvious really??

I hope you do get sorted in life, you sound like you’re doing well, but instead of looking at people as a hindrance, how about looking at them as you were 2/3/4 years ago and in need of the help you needed too at that time?
