  1. I had a look.... 140 for the standard set up and for the "pro"....... 300 ?
  2. Looks pretty much foolproof! Cmon then how much?
  3. The "any sharp" is a similar design but has a secure wall sucker, great for cheap kitchen knifes but as previously stated "eats steel", not so bad on easily replaced cheapies but best avoided on anything you treasure ?
  4. There's a chicken wash called elector psp (spinosad) great for all creatures, fur or feather.
  5. Temperament is an important factor that many breeders of animals in general overlook, they place looks and other traits higher on the list of importance. In my experience its not just physical attributes that are passed on in genes ?
  6. Many years ago whilst laming a golf course in Worcester, we had stopped for a fag break and to let the dog take 5. We were sat under an old oak and the dog shot forward in the dark, lamp on and it was a polecat Gill with something in her mouth, the dog was steady to our ferrets so didn't touch her but she dropped the item. It turned out to be a kit, eyes still closed. It was slipped into a pocket and taken to a pal who had a Gill with a litter, most of which she'd lost. He was brought up alongside the remainder in an open fronted large hutch, whilst all the others were inquisitive and forward
  7. One of my bitches, lovely tiny little thing. a year old off a dog called crowdyslack slinky of costapakit ? to one of my older bitches lesburn ibex. Have a look at the ukcockerspanieldatabase, great site with lots of ancestry info on your dogs lineage.
  8. Yeah I can see that that would help, I'm only after a good Bush dog that will push anything and everything out to the runners so the steady gundog part is not that important to me. As long as they come in when called and are stock steady I'm happy for them to get on with the job, the noise is actually a bonus. Mute terriers were an issue for us, who'd have thought the solution was a mental cocker ?
  9. I've gone over from terriers to cockers, not quite got the killer drive but a joy to run and so easy. Mine love to find deer and give tongue readily (won't ever make ftch!) which suits me, they are from top of the line stock so the trait shouldn't be??
  10. Thanks fellas, I don't want much other than a thoughtful owner ?
  11. Dog pup is 9 week now and still available, confident and happy thing.
  12. Been off St Austell for the last couple of days spinning, not a bite. No sign of whitebait pushed to the shoreline, really quiet. Was peaceful at high tide just before 5am though ?
  13. Super sharp scissors tend to cut the skin at the same length as the tail bone and will leave a bald spot on the end, I'm my experience a pair of side cutter style nail clippers are a bit more suitable. They pinch the skin over the end of the cut point of the tail bone making the skin slightly longer and avoiding the bald end bit. Keep an eye on them for half an hour after just incase there's any bleeds but as previously stated the bitch will normally tend to them adequately.
  14. I'm no expert but have been catching mackerel off the beach in St austel with a 28g lure and spinning rod to suit 12lb mono and was reasonably successful. I was punching for distance but just to give me a nice long retrieve, I'm off down next week for a few days and have bought some braid to reduce the diameter and get the distance (in theory). Evenings were best and keeping an eye out for surface evidence, then casting to it ?
  15. Try elector psp, brilliant stuff for All mites, fleas ect on birds, dogs, cats, ferrets, kids ect ect
  16. Raw is great if you can get a good balance and deal with the stuff in the summer. For me a complete quality diet takes the hassle and guess work out of feeding.
  17. Recommendations WWW.ESSENTIALFOODSGB.CO.UK We give both you and your friend 150 DKK. Here's a discount code for 15 quid off if anyone wants to give it a go
  18. Have a look at a site called all about dog foods, it will give you an unbiased breakdown of pretty much all branded feeds. I use a company called essential and they do 2 puppy feeds called the beggining (one for small and one for large breeds, calcium requirements are different), their superior living is what I run the adults on and they also do a stamina version which is like rocket fuel for working season. It's good stuff at a reasonable price, its also geared for slow release energy rather than the sugar rush cheap mixes. if you're buying a 12kg bag for 15-20 quid, realistically what
  19. The lot that we have are crooked and "the tribes" are even worse. There was one in Worcester in the not too distant past that was caught out up to no good, its all about lining pockets regardless of shade but they see an easy opportunity in pc Britain ?
  20. If anyone is suffering with mites, try elector psp. It's a chicken wash that I've used on canaries with great results ?
  21. I have some amitraz (brand name taktic), got be careful with the dosage but works a treat. Hunt kennels used to use it and the terrier an gave me the nod on the stuff years ago. There's also Spinosad, you can get it in a tablet form from the vets under the brand name comfortis but it's commonly used in Australia as a sheep dip. Added bonus to that is its an organic bacteria with no know side effect to dogs or humans, there's a chicken version called elector psp.
  22. Cheers? Bitch pup is spoken for now
