    There wasn't really any hassle last year mate; the comp ran off to a final without any problems, but unfoutunatly one of the guys in the final spit the dummy out ! This year, it looks like they are all genuine guys who have entered and we should have a good competiion ! Cheers.

    Doe's anyone else get pissid off as I do when people advertise coursing dogs out of Peg, (Bills bitch x Joes dog), out of Harry's dog x The Hairy Bitch, Sire is from the 1/2 sister of the dog that almost won the Foley Cup X a dog that a man who has good dogs own's.......and they ALL go back to Merlin X Eve ?????? Why not just say the REAL breeding ??? Cheers.

    I've tried running old Longshanks, (Bruce), on the rag, at the local Whippet track, he shows all the interest until I slip him, then he runs about 10 yards and comes back !! Delta has run plenty times, and the handicapper said if she was a Whippet she would handicap in.... but as she is a 23" hairy Lurcher, she can't run !! It sounds good craic that you lads are having a bit fun running the dogs ! Keep it up !! Cheers.

    A great report on a great show, Joe....... But Owld Tom needs to get a new SatNav !!! Scotch Corner is nowhere near the M6, and the A66 will take you nowhere near Pontefract !! You need the A1 !! LOL !! But then again, Tom gets confused any time he comes south of the "wall" !! Cheers.

    all she was its a lurcher on lurcher said its not crossed but i no everysinge dog in the world is a cross .everthing is a cross You could ask her what breeds were in the parents make up; that will at least give you an idea of how your pup is bred. Cheers.

    Have you still got the 'phone number of the woman you bought the pup off ? She should be able to tell you the breeding. I'ts just about impossible to tell whats in a lurcher, especialy a pup, from a photo. All the best with it. Cheers.

    A 12 week old pup is barely off the bitches tit !! What about basic training ? Any mongrel can take a mixi rabbit. I fear it will be another "8 month old, no fault of it's own" pup being passed on !! Come on mate, give the pup a chance !!! Some basic training, and start it next season....... Cheers.

    The Italian Greyhound is in the "Toy Dog " group here in the U.K. They can't even jump off the couch without breaking their legs !!! They have no use in the working dog world, as their breeders will tell you. To cross one with a Whippet just spoils two breeds !! On the Continent they are bred bigger, and some even chase rabbits..... but here..... as much use as a Yorkie or a King Charles Spaniel ! Cheers.

    the dog will be approx 21 months in january not really a pup so wouldnt expect it to jack or yapp or be run ragged . 18 or 19 month. Cheere.

    In the "Whippet News" a few month ago, a Whippet bitch was put to a Greyhound dog. I may put my 23" bitch to a 27" dog next year; as long as you don't go to extremes, it should be ok . Cheers.

    This has got to be the Premier Working Dog Show !!! It will be challenging the Big Game Fairs shortly, to be the Best day out for dog enthusiasts ! Fantastic setting, brilliant weather, and the craic is unbeleivable ! Met loads of mates and made a few more today, well worth the 380 mile round trip, we are going to camp over next year !! Cheers.

    Well, as you know, I've been out with Mally pleanty times, and his bitch IS class. IF you win your heat, then you will be up against a Whippet ! The guy is a real dog lad and it will be great to see a Big'un against a Little'un !! I can tell you...she is no mug !! Cheers.
