    I'm sorry, but I think it looks like any other street cur, how do all you guys come out with "nice dog mate", "smart dog mate", etc ? I hope it works out for the owner, but I doubt it will be any good as a Lurcher. As I say, good luck with it, and I hope I'm proven wrong. Cheers.

    Dogs are a pack animal, and there will allways be an Alpha male or female. But !! YOU should be the boss !! That won't stop them having a "pecking order", but they should know who the boss is. My Deer X bitch has developed into the dominant bitch in my kennel, but she still knows I'm the boss ! Cheers.

    There has allways been confusion here in the U.K. as to what a "Staghound" is. Here they are, (usually) a big type of Foxhound, used for hunting Red Deer, there was, (and possibly still are). a couple of Staghound packs down in the south. The Staghound abroad; Australia, New Zealand, America, South Africa, etc, is usualy a Deerhound/Greyhound hybrid; of course there are many other breeds crossed into these lines, and an "offshoot" is the American Coyote Hound; still basically Deer/Grey but bred from the best to the best, and probably has far more than just Deer/Grey in its make up. Cheers. no mate im askin has dan threw many good dogs, cause i had a call from a lad who has a bitch of dan he was looking to use my dog said his bitch a bit slow im asking is this the way dan throws them a bit slow,i was just commenting that i have a pup of dan hard to tell if she has any speed yet. OK mate, but why would anyone use this dog if it has a reputation for throwing slow dogs? Surely there are pleanty of coursing dogs out there who have proved themselv

    I don't think you can "teach" a dog to jump; you can help it along and build it's confidence up, but some dogs are natural jumpers, some are not. The two I have just now; one will go out of it's way to jump, but the other will only jump when it's neccessary, prefering to go under, thru' or around, if it can. My 29" Deer X bitch "jumps for fun" and frightens the life out of me when she takes barbed wire at full speed, but I like to see a dog jumping when in pursuit. Cheers.

    I'm by no means an expert at coursing scores; but I would have scored it even on the run up, (0-0), then Shasi two for the first, (and only), turn, making it 2-0 to Shasi, then I would have given one point for the kill, even though it looked like a spent hare ! How any of them could have got 10 to 15 points from that course is beyond my thinking. Cheers.

    That's why I put the word "fresh" in inverted coma's. Any wound that still looks "fresh" after four month has to be a problem... Get Professional advice and treatment !! Cheers.

Cheers. You should of found him, i had a couple off him, he took them all and gave them all away to every one I know; me and my brother were standing next to him when he done it ! I bought a slip that I've never used !! He should have kept them, they will be worth money on e-bay ! LOL ! Cheers.
