If the dog jumps properly, you won't have many vet bills. What about it hitting fences when the quarry goes thru' ? Surely it's better to jump than try and run thru' ? I think jumping is essential for a Lurcher. Cheers.

I don't understand your bit about "certain parts of the country" ? This country is small enough to travel any where to get the right dog. Anyone who would use a "pet", instead of travelling for the right stud shouldn't be breeding dogs. Cheers.

Any type of dog will catch a rabbit, I had a Doberman that caught the odd daytime rabbit, more to good luck than anything else, but they cannot be classed as "rabbiting dogs". If you just want a bit fun with a collie, why not ? But you will probably get sick of missing far more rabbits than it will ever catch. Cheers.

Do you do this every time after you go out if not in what situation would you di it , ei 10runs Wash them everytime the dogs have been working, not everytime they have been out for a walk !LOL ! Use the dettol solution if there is cuts or scrapes or signs of soreness around the nails. Cheers.

I usualy wash them in warm, salty water, then sometimes a soak in warm water and dettol solution. Cheers.

Take up another hobby mate ! And if/when you re-home him, will you get another dog ? I fear it's you, not the dog, that's at fault. How old is it REALY, not "about 8 month" ? I think you may have started it to young, so you can be out with your mates, but the dog is still a pup, without the absolute basics of training ! Give the pup the rest of the year learning the basics and try it again in September . Cheers. -

I don't think anyone has any issue with Whins DOGS ! It's HIM people have issues with ! He thinks he's the only one with decent dogs, and he's the only one who works dogs !! LOL !! I've got a feeling he may think he is being funny, having a laugh or a wind up...... but that's not the way it comes across.... he actually comes across as a jealous, bitter man !
