My local Game Dealer keeps all his stuff for me. There can be just about anything in it, but it has ALL been for sale for HUMAN consumption or is trimmings . I ususaly try to mix it up or give , say, beef, one day, venison another, etc. I do agree, though, DON'T cook it, I allways feed mine raw, and also supplement it with lamb ribs and knecks, that I get off another butcher. You CAN feed dogs VERY cheaply and VERY well, if you look around and can be bothered to travel and pick the stuff up ! Cheers.

They are hugh foxes !! This one was around 20 lb, and I thought it was a big fox ! Cheers.

you forgot about capital law an admiralty law they are all waved aside for commen law an the only man can slap a fine on is a commen law judge an if you havnt broke that law you cant be fined I know that I shouldn't get involved in this discussion, but I'm intrigued !! You are saying that ALL UK law is subservient to Common Law, and ONLY a "Common Law Judge", (whatever that may be), is the only person who can issue a fine ??? Then can I claim back the fines I've paid in various Magistrates Courts over the years, as, according to you, they , the Magistrates, wern't allowed to issue fines ?
-
Common Law isn't the ONLY law recognised in the UK; We also have Constitutional Law, Statutory Law and Regulatory Law. I may be wrong, but I'd guess that "dog fouling" will come under Statutory or Regulatory Law, there are also "By Laws", but be sure, there IS a law against dogs shitting in public places. Just let your dog do it, and try claiming exemption under Common Law... you won't get far ! Cheers.

Where do you get your information from mate ? Of COURSE there are laws on dog fouling ! Who wants to be treading in dog shit, or worse still, have their kids getting diseases from contact with it ? What's the problem with clearing up after a dog ? http://www.environmentlaw.org.uk/rte.asp?id=50 Cheers.

Good diet, good excersize, good grooming, good kennelling and you won't go far wrong !! Cheers.

I have thought about it,, that's why I asked the question. Do Darcy's books bring more "unwanted attention" than say, Plummers or Drakefords books, or do you think ALL Lurcher books bring unwanted attention ? Cheers.
-
What "unwanted attention" have Darcy's books brought ? Cheers.

You know I'll take you up on that !! I'll see you in Idaho next time I''m out there !! Cheers.

Yeah. they have been trying to do this, and that's where the SPEED comes from !! I'm only trying to breed a dog that will do hares, roe, rabbitts..not a dog that will do coyote !! If I was in you situation................I'd be wanting your dogs breed !! Cheers.

Breeding Whippets and Greyhounds can be a lot easier than breeding Lurchers, as you know what you are working with, and the wastage should be a lot less. With Lurchers, the sire may be a top dog, say Beddy/Saluki/Grey, and you put him to, say, a Collie/Whippet/Grey; you now have FIVE different breeds in the offspring, they could, theoreticaly, throw to ANY of the breeds in the mix !! I still think "worker to worker" is the way to go, but at least with 1st crosses, you have a fair idea of what you will get. Cheers.

Sowhat will probably agree with me on this; way back in No-Ped Whippet racing, it WAS the case of putting your nieghbours dog over your bitch, and hoping for the best !! But over the years, bloodlines emerged and people travelled to put the best to the best. The results are there to be seen, now the dogs ar infinitly faster ! I see what you are saying about using a Champions litter mate to breed from, and I tend to agree with you, but if the Champion was available, I would use that, if not, I would use a sibling. Cheers.

chartpolski replied to welsh beagle's topic in Working Dogs & Livestock
The guy's donated, so he has every right to advertise his pups on here, so why are you spoiling his thread ? Very nice pups, by the way ! Good luck with them !! Cheers. -
There's pleanty available; I just thought there may be some lads with a few left over from doing their own kennels and could of recycled them my way for a few quid, instead of them lying around, that way, we all score ! Cheers.

This and Ozziedoggers and News now Newcastle are just about the only sites I go on, and I read the newspapers on line. I can't see any advantage for me going on Facebook, but I may give it a try ! Cheers.

Snap I was in Singapore airport last march, imagine if we had been sitting together, the craic would have been good. It was September, Joe, when I was stuck there for six nights. Good job Changi is my favourite airport; pleanty to do, cheap booze and food, free internet and mobile charging. Had some good craic with Brits, Aussies and Kiwis passing thru' ! When I got out of there, I was stuck in DBX for two days, but another good airport with pleanty to do ! Cheers.

Bob, I was stuck in Singapore Airport for six days last year, and they have free internet, so I tried to set up a Facebook account to keep in touch with the wife and save on phone calls...... I got as far as them asking me if I wanted a "wall", and I gave up and went back the old tried and tested phone !! LOL !! I'm a bit to old to keep up with all this new technology, although "Skype" does look handy ! I'll have to get some school kid to show me how to set it up !! LOL !! Cheers.

This is a 3/4 Grey x 1/4 "Wolf/ Alsation" he had; A smart looking bitch, but I don't know how good it was. Cheers. cheers charts,,,,,looks just like a wolf,,lol was the alsation / wolf a first cross charts,,, or was it even less wolf,,,, cos that would only be 1/8 wolf ,, so it might be less if the alsation was only 1/4 wolf,,, would make that lurcher, 1/16 wolf I don'

looking for the fastest whippet stud
chartpolski replied to the twins's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
I don't think it's clear-cut. I've owned and worked Non-Peds, and been out with working Peds. Seen both types with stamina, and also without a great deal of wind. It's down to the individual dog, how it's bred, how it's worked, etc. Cheers. -
No such thing as the "perfect dog" for anything !! Depends entirely on the dog itself ! Cheers.

Brother to sister mating is it to close,
chartpolski replied to whisperingeye's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
Watching the Pedigree Dog programme on TV last night, it appears the KC has banned sibling matings and parent to offspring matings. All the vets that were interviewed agreed it shouldn't be done. I don't know if the same would apply to Lurchers, as maybe Pedigrees are way to close bred to start with ?? Cheers.
