    they wont be running i'm afraid , had a lot of good valued points of dogs not wearing muzzles , that normally dont fight , but can , when gee'd up , will , so it's a certain way to stop any fighting Quite right den. Shows like this bring people together that don't know each other let alone their dogs. Heat of the moment etc. I know one of my dogs doesn't like being overtaken and will have a go so won't run her unless they're all Muzzled.     It's been a long, long time since a Pedigree Whippet has been put into the Non-Peds. The "1st" crosses are invariably Non-Ped Whippet X Greyhound. If you look back at the breeding of the "Whippets", you'll find more Greyhound..... so the "1st" crosses will usualy have a bit more than 50% Greyhound in them. Cheers.

    Thats something I can't understand just doesn't makes sense, my vet charges me £5 to worm my with milbramax hardly breaks the bank and they feck love the tabs they think it's there birthday when they have them being flavoured haha lol I buy a years supply of wormer and flea treatment, (Drontal & Frontline), on line from "Vetmedics", the more you buy, the cheaper per unit it is. Why the f**k idiots try to poison their dogs with quack treatments is beyond me !! I remember way back when some nutcase said give the dog GROUND GLASS to kill worms !! Cheers.

    There are many variables in breeding Lurchers; what work does the Dam do ? What work does the Sire do ? What work do you want the pups to do ? Do you want to put more speed in the line... or hieght, brains, coat, feet, etc ? Is the bitch REALY worth breeding from ? Can you buy a pup in that will do the same job as what you are hoping to breed ? Have you got homes for any excess pups ? If you have answers to all this and still want to breed, then give great thought about the Sire. Your bitch has FOUR different breeds in her already, so I personaly wouldn't want to add any more.     Talked to an Irish guy at Selbey this year, and he had a leash of them.They LOOKED stunning, but wether they could do the job is another thing. The owner reckons they were good hare dogs, but he was selling them, so I wouldn;t expect him to say they were no good !! LOL !! Cheers.

    I've seen people showing 10/12 week old pups at shows and in my mind that's just wrong ! No one can tell what a pup of that age will turn out like, they haven't even got adult teeth yet ! By all means take a pup, when it's fully innoculated, to a show to socialise it, but keep it out of the ring until it's old enough to show a bit of movement and confirmation, etc, Cheers.

    Working injuries are part of the game with working dogs !! Learn some rudimentry dog first aid, expect some vet bills, get some insurance, or get out of the running dog game, simple as that, realy ! Cheers.
