    I've never bred a litter in my life, but if I thought one of my bitches was good enough to breed off, I would be sorely tempted to cull all the pups bar the ones I was keeping myself, rather than they go to some of the messers out there ! Cheers.

    Albert, there is no way you can tell if a dog is a "pure" Whippet, simply by looking at it !! It's impossible, no matter how good a judge of dogs you are ! I could bring an 18 lb bitch from my local track along to one of your shows, and most people would swear it was a Whippet... yet it is half Greyhound!!! If you are to continue haveing Pedigree or "pure" Whippet racing, then you have to bite the bullet and insist on seeing the registration papers...no papers-no race, unless they go in the "under 23" Lurcher race !     If you have, say, a first cross Deerhound/Greyhound, it's classed as an "F1", or 1st cross or 1st generation. If you then mated that with another 1st cross Deer/Grey, the prodgeny would be "F2" or 2nd generation and so on down the line. Cheers.

    Let's just get this nonsense out the way !! Northernlite is someone who has a grudge against me, just look at his previous posts, comments, etc ! If he was genuine he would say who he is and get it out in the open ! He only joined a few days ago.. I've been on here for years, and on every site,I use the same name "CHARTPOLSKI" this guy knows every thing but he has only been on here a few days ! Why doesn't he just man up and say what his problem with me is ??

    Bear, thanks mate, but last year I only went to one show, that was Morpeth, and I went to see Gin, Woodga, Molly and a few other friends and didn't show my dogs! The rest of the summer I was down in Australia, hunting foxes with Lurchers, Terriers and Hounds ! The poeple who have a pop at me on here haven't a clue what I do or where do it...they seem to be just jelous pricks !     I strip my rough dogs out for the simple reason it is last years dead hair ! Nothing to do with the temp. Get rid of the old hair, give them a good grooming and next years coat comes in looking better ! Cheers. i do the same give the dog a good brush but thats all dont cut it atb Not talking about "cut", I strip my rough dogs.....It's simple, just like stripping a terrier.. pluck the dead hair from the dogs ! Have you REALY had rough dogs, or any working dogs, for that matter, for any length of time ?? Cheers. had lurchers for a good few years and most have been rough coated b

    Absolutly, totaly, no such thing as a "complete all rounder" ! There are dogs that do all sorts well, but there isn't the dog that does everything GREAT !! When talking of "allrounders", I allways think of Daley Thompson, the greatest "All round athlete" in the world ! He couldn't beat the best sprinters, jumpers or thowers, but they couldn't beat him in the Decatholon !! There are dogs that will kill hares, others that will do fox, others that will take big bags of rabbits . The dogs that will do a bit of everything are my type of dog, they haven't got to be the best at everything !! Chee

    I'll never forget the first time you came down for the 5 days mate. We were out almost every hour both daylight and night!!!. That was September and you were still eating the stuff you took back at easter!!. Good craic too especally when the rozzers followed us home, oh and the pissed farmer playing rambo with his baseball bat!!!.     If it's a Ped Whippet you are after, have a word with Mally, off here; he has a dog, Sagar, who looks the real deal.... never seen him, but I've seen his dam, Vixen, work many times, day and night, and I've never seen a better Ped Whippet working ! Have a craic with the lad, he'll show you the dogs working, and make your own mind up. Cheers.

    If you are talking about Non-Ped Whippets, there are some phenomenal small 'uns !! Skoshi Tiger is about 20lbs and doing unbelievable times and winning everything at the moment ! There are loads of dogs and bitches well under 22" that are running extremly well. A dog I like that's running realy well is Mazuma, he's around 30lb and doing well on straights and bends, and has recently got his Rch. Cheers.
