    Well mate, I know this is the opposite to what you asked, but.......... One Xmas My missus bought me a pair of Muckboots, a pair of good quality boot socks, a "Le Chameu" silk tie, (whith pheasant print), a pair of shooting mitts, and Lurcher book by Frank Sheardown. I think, after all these years, she knows what I like !! LOL !! Cheers.

    I know off a dog that had never looked at stock at all in his life. He had ran rabbits, hare, fox and deer thru' sheep and never batted an eylid; then one day when he was around 7 or 8, he was out with another dog that ran in on a sheep, and instinct took over and he had the sheep by the throat ! He was called off before any damage was done, and never did it again.... but this just prooves that no amount of training will eradicate instinct ! Cheers.

    Sure enough , Lee ! But I'll only remember his bonhommine and longevity on a decent TV show, just as I'll remember Queens music and videos.... rather than them having a (vastly) different view to me on other things close to my heart !     Me and my family, (and dogs), were in Saudi when it was anounced that 17 of the 19 bombers were Saudis !! Squeaky bum time doesn't realy cover it !!

    At "big coursing events", wether it be Saluki hybrids at the Forely, or Greyhounds at the Waterloo; why would retrieving be of interest ? Surely the perfomance of the dog is paramount ? I've never heard of points being awarded for retrieving. Cheers.

    I was proper gutted when Gary Speed took his life last year, couldn't get my head round it.. An absolute gentleman who is well thoought of here in Newcastle ! In a profession of money grabbing c**t's, he was a man to admire ! Still can't understand what made him do it....... Cheers.

    When I lived in the middle east, my son, who worked for the British Embassy, phoned me on two occasions at my office that will forever stay in my mind; one time he called and said "dad, turn on the TV, they have killed Diana !!" The other time he called and said "dad, turn on the TV, they're bombing America !!"; the 9/11 attacks on the twin towers !! They are etched on my memory, and more to the point...who are "they" ??     The grand old character died today, His TV show, The Sky At Night, has run for over 50 years. I met and had a craic with him, some years ago, in an airport lounge, when we where both travelling to the Southern Hemisphere for vastly different reasons, me for hunting and drinking, him to see a solar eclipse ! A mate who was with me, asked him " Hows Uranus ! ? Mr Moore never missed a beat, and launched into a funny monologue ! Another one of the Grand Old Men of Television gone ! Cheers.

    I didn't say "hauled over the coals", but if you don't think she, and the other nurse, were intensively interviewed by various "concerned parties", including the police, the royal family staff and the hospitals lawers, etc, then you are very naive ! Cheers.

    A mate of mine owns a couple of plots of land, freehold, all paid for, etc, he has stables and chicken huts and greenhouses etc, on them, no problem. But he is not allowed any wheeled vehicles or caravans or any permanent dwellings on them. I rent a bit land from the council, as an allotment. I'm not allowed any wheeled vehicle, including caravans or trailers on it. I can't even leave my 6' x 4' trailer there, legaly. I wanted to put a caravan on there as a shed... no way, even if I take the wheels off and put it on blocks !! Just makes me wonder how the Gypsies get away with it ? Cheers.

    Haven't Freud and Jung been discredited on many of their theories ? I still maintain that if the call hadn't been made, the woman would still be alive, but, as others have said, there must of been underlying problems; not least that she was a TCN and probably had been browbeaten by the hospital authorities, the police and royal staff, investigating what happened .     afraid thats not how genetics work, if genes were passed 50/50, any hereditary health problem present in a line would effect every pup in every litter, this isn't so. it would be impossible to do this with 50/50 genes. genetics are random in their distribution, one pup can carry 90%(or any other percentage) of the dams genes while another can carry 90%(or any other percentage)of the sires genes Well; Geneomics is way above my pay grade, and if you are right, and my 50/50 split is wrong; then I must be right in saying the 80/20 split is also wrong, (I'm sure Pareto's Law doesn't apply

    "Dam & Sire, which is more important" ? Bit of a daft question, in my opinion. Would you use a shit sire..... or a shit dam ? Of course not; you would try to use the best sire and dam available !! I don't believe this "80/20" theory in dogs. I suspect the pups get 50% of there genes from each parent, but of course their looks and physical attributes can throw to either parent, but they will still carry the same genes wether one pup throws to, say, the collie side, and another throws to the greyhound side.     Cut the two pin plug off and fit a three pin plug. You'll only have two wires, attach them to the "live" and "neutral" in the three pin plug; there won't be an "earth" wire ! If in any doubt, ask an electrician to do it. Cheers.
