Having EU border controls between Britain and Northern Ireland is being sold by the politicians as NI having the best of both worlds, all the advantages of Brexit AND the advantages (?) of remaining in the EU . Even Cameron and May baulked at having a border down the Irish Sea ! I see it as the thin end of the re-unification wedge ! The EU want re-unification . I can't see Sturgeon and the SNP being happy about this, just wait until they start crying " unfair ! ". Cheers.

Just looked at the money markets and the pound has shot up against the dollar and is also higher against the euro. Speculative or insider trading ? A deal to be announced shortly ? Cheers.

Yes, we have customs officials there to check movement between France and the U.K., but we don't have customs officials checking movement between different parts of France or between France and other EUROPEAN countries. They will have customs officials checking movement between two parts of the UK, no different in my mind to having foreigners checking movement between England and Scotland ! Cheers.

I see Boris has agreed to remove certain parts of the Internal Markets Bill that the EU has objected to......parts that the UK had said were previously needed ! But far more worrying is the agreement to have EU Customs Officials posted in Northern Ireland to check goods moving between Britain and Northern Ireland, something that was previously a "red line ". Surely this is a huge loss of sovereignty, having foreign officials telling us what can move between parts of the UK ? I now think there WILL be a trade agreement, which will be sold to us as a huge victory, but will piss of

Do the rich REALLY eat healthier ? They may have the money to make the CHOICE of eating healthier, but many of them suffer from what were once called "Rich mans disease" gout, heart disease, high blood pressure, and no wonder when you see the multi course banquettes they eat. Then you've got the likes of Trump, famous for the amount of burgers he eats, and look at the food that was taken in for the politicians discussing Brexit, loads of pizzas ! I'm a snooker aficionado, and I know O'Sullivans demeanour and antics can be off putting for some, but I'd rather watch him than any of the other players. He's a flawed genius, but most geniuses are ! I was watching Trump and Robertson playing in the UK final the other night and literally fell asleep during the game ! Two of the best technical players ever, but I'd put O'Sullivan as the best player ever, the most exciting, and the most unpredictable. I had high blood pressure a few years back, and was fitted with portable monitor for 48 hrs. My, then, GP, who has the worst bedside manner I have ever seen, said " have you considered buying your own monitor and checking your own blood pressure ?" . I replied " have you ever considered servicing or flying the 747 aircraft you go on holiday in ? " He replied " no, why do you ask that ?" I replied " you do your job, I'll do mine ! Remember when Varadkar was posturing and threatening about banning British aircraft flying over Ireland ! He was like the little coward mouthing off as long as he had the big guys, ( Germany and France),at his back. The new guy, Martin, now realises Ireland will be the worst hit in the event of a " no deal " and is now panicking and demanding a deal ! I imagine a lot of the smaller, and some of the bigger, EU countries are worrying about the outcome if Macron continues with his unacceptable demands. Cheers.

By manipulating the x and y axis you can make graphs look vastly different, while using the exact same data. Cheers.

Now, I'm not after an argument with anyone, or doubting the data, but that graph is a little misleading. It shows the number of deaths in ascending order, but if you put it in chronological order, there's a definite spike in 2020, compared with 2017/18/19. Yes, the deaths were higher in the nineties and noughties, I have no explanation for that. Cheers.
