  1. Xmas eve at the petrol station...... Cheers.
  2. FFS ! Yesterday London was in tier two, now its in tier FOUR ! When the f**k did we get a tier FOUR ? Is Xmas cancelled again ? Im in Newcastle, are we still in tier THREE ? Have we still got the five day Xmas amnesty ? WHAT THE f**k IS GOING ON ? I was giving the politicians the benefit of the doubt, but I'm rapidly going sour on them ! Cheers.
  3. O'Sullivan caused a bit of a stir not long back when he said he wouldn't do qualifying rounds against "mugs", and that included players in the 128-64 bracket, and a few in the 64-32 bracket ! He suggested a new snooker association with only the top 16 playing. Who knows ? It worked when the top 16 left the BDO to form what is now the PDC in darts. The standards improved and the prize money exploded ! So he may have had a point. Cheers.
  4. Strangely enough, away from the table , "Interesting" Steve Davis is quite funny ! Cheers.
  5. Some of the nick names are cringe worthy. "The Jester From Leicester " has to be the most inappropriate name for Selby. Maybe "Sour Faced Selby" would be more like it ! Cheers.
  6. I haven't played for years but I've never made more than 50, and that was mainly on blues, against a mug, wouldn't have got near that playing a decent player ! Cheers.
  7. Probably a hangover from the billiards days . When I was on a pool team, the young 'uns could never understand why I would try for a snooker rather than smash balls all over the place ! Cheers.
  8. Yeah, it will never get back to that level of viewers, but, much like darts, since Hearns got involved, the viewing figures are at a high since those halcyon day. Again, much like darts, it's become far richer and more professional and moved on from a pub game. Im from the land of the working men's clubs, and every club had at least one snooker table and a team in the snooker league, now you're lucky to see a snooker table in a club or pub. I guess I'm in a minority on here, darts is my favourite sport, closely followed by snooker, with football a distant third. I enjoy dis
  9. I agree with some of what you say about the first one "in" clearing up, but the first few frames last nigh was a great battle of safety play, what was once very unusual for O'Sullivan, but now his all round game has changed. He's less likely to take on an "iffy" pot, and more likely to play safe. Wether that has improved his game, I don't know. It's less exciting, but, to me, just as enjoyable. Im not sure what you mean about ratings. Before the lock down every venue was way over booked, and the tv ratings, I believe , are the highest since its heyday . Cheers.
  10. I wouldn't say a hiding, though the score line looks that way. Trump was the better player, easily, but at this level, the world champ v the world number one, the first one to make a mistake is punished. Trump made one serious mistake and O'Sullivan punished him with a clearance. O''Sullivan made more mistakes and Trump punished him almost every time. Ive been interested in the comments about the break-off. At one time it was considered an advantage, now it's not when playing the top players. With their long potting skills, the break-off needs to be near perfect, and O'Sul
  11. This is basically what he said when every one was laughing at the "step-daughter" nonsense; Cheers.
  12. I tend to agree, mate, one day we are in lockdown, then tier 2, then lockdown again, then tier 3, then everything back to normal for Xmas, then probably lock down again ! I'm never sure of the rules, but to be honest the only thing that's affecting me is not seeing my mum or grandson. The way I look at it is; if I treat it as a deadly virus and follow the rules, then I won't have killed any one, if it is all a hoax, well, it hasn't really affected my life, I've been through worse ! If it is as bad as they say, and I treat it as a hoax or conspiracy , and someone dies because I f
  13. The vaccine and the virus are two different things. I can understand people having reservations about the vaccine, I have myself. But for people to say the virus is a hoax, it's just the 'flu, it's not really killing people, it's just an excuse for the rich to get richer, etc, is absolute nonsense, the wildest of conspiracy theories . My mum is 90, I'm 68, my missus is 67, all of us in the "at risk" group. We haven't seen my five year old grandson in over a year, as he's in lock down with his mother in Saudi. If we ignored the rules, believing they were just lies and
  14. Now, I guess I'm on the fence with the vaccine, but you have to look at things sensibly. Anaphylactic shock is caused by reaction to an allergy, most notably an allergy to nuts. Does this mean no one should eat nuts ? If someone has had a reaction to an ingredient in the vaccine, I'm sure they will be trying to isolate it, but if it works for the vast majority of people they will continue to roll it out. Like most scare stories, you need to look deeper. Just today there are scare stories about 20 mile tailbacks to Dover. The remainers are blaming Brexit, but with furth

    OYSTERS

Don't like them raw, but had them in Australia topped wth bacon bits and other stuff, Oysters Kilpatrick I think they're called, very nice. I agree lobster is very over rated, and over priced. I'd prefer king prawn or tiger prawn any day ! Cheers.
  16. He regularly got confused about relationships; he was allways on about "taking his nephews sister up the hill "; Im not sure if that's a euphemism ??? Cheers.
  17. He knew that from the knowledge he gained living and hunting with the red indians ! Big Chief Bullshitter ? Cheers.
  18. And when he went on about the importance of knowing your breeding........and put two different sires over his bitch at the same time, and didn't have a clue which one, or both, were the sire ! Cheers. Whoops ! Posted at the same time! Didnt he tell you he knew which one was the sire because the pups were Fawn coloured, yet the one HE kept was black ??? Cheers.
  19. There's a massive difference between a"raconteur" and a "bullshitter". Raconteurs take a true story and embellish it to make it more interesting or amusing for the benefit of the listeners. Bullshitters tell blatant lies to make THEMSELVES look more interesting or amusing. The Internet has given them a huge audience, and there's allways the get out; " I was only on a wind up" when they get caught ! Cheers.
  20. O'Sullivan far from his best, 3-1 down to Wilson, but then reels off four frames in a row to win and set up a semi final against Trump. Hes going to have to raise his game to beat Trump. Cheers.
  21. No ? im a wee bit too worldly wise to be sucked into this.....been there done that ! I like to watch snooker, I'm no expert, and couldn't argue, or want to, with the experts, its just something I enjoy ! Cheers.
  22. He said it was a bad shot, but then O'Sullivan cleaned up ! Probably why Ronnie has won a couple of more tournaments than him..... Cheers.
  23. The mans a genius.....OK , a bit mental; but a genius none the less ! Cheers.
  24. What the f**k was that Irish c**t talking about there ? Cheers.
