Pure beeds where would you be without them ?

They allways look "short coupled" to me, but they are very long legged. Cheers. -
Don't forget, Mackem is like Don Corleone, he will help you out, do you a favour, but sometime....maybe never....but sometime in the future he may ask you to repay that favour...... ?? Cheers.

If I was in dire straits, shoplifting would be perfectly acceptable, especially when these upper middle class, trust fund, university drop out shit bags, who don't need to do it, get away with it ? Cheers.

What about those two shithouses that went into shops and got bottles of milk of the shelves and poured them on the floor and over the cheese counters ? Some sort of vegan protesters. The staff stood by and watched, and when a shopper asked why they didn't intervene, they said "they weren't allowed to" ! The police said they were "aware of the incidents but no arrests have been made". I wonder if that was a bloke out of work, skint and at his wits end had shoplifted the milk for his kids, how would he have been treated........... Cheers.

I've only ever had tiny bits of permission that usually hold very little, but, as Elchapo says, it's handy to have if you get a tug on the way home from somewhere else ?. Ive allways "freelanced", but I can understand being upset if someone was "freelancing" on my permission, but not to the point of packing in. Cheers. -
Have you not read any of KD's posts ? ?? Cheers.

I found the serVice excellent from Boston, New York to Texas, wether in a restaurant or a market. I did a "big shop" in Schepplers, the western store in Texas and when I was paying, the girl asked for my zip code, when I said I didn't know wha that was she asked where I was from. I said Saudi Arabia, but I was British....that was it, the line behind me and the staff all wanted to talk to me , it took ages to get out the place ! At the grocery store there'd be a young man or girl who would pack your bags and carry them to your car, and allways called you sir ! You don't mind tipping f

Tipping can be a nightmare in the States ! A friends daughter was a waitress in an Outback restaurant and her only wage was her tips, and she had to pay two busboys aswell ! Cheers.

Interesting, in Arabic the words saluki and sloughi are the same, have the same meaning, just pronounced differently in North African Arabic and Gulf Arabic dialects. Just like for "chicken", an Egyptian will say "dégag" and a Saudi will say "dejaz", but they understand each other. Forget Google, every Arab enthusiast I've met will say the saluki and sloughi are the same, the differences are cosmetic due to selective breeding for their area. Plus, because of trade routes etc, the Saluki, sloughi, azawakh, tazi, Afghan will have been traded and inter bred for centuries. The galgos wa -
Six degrees of separation ? Cheers.

I said "smile", not "educate" ? But you're correct, you're never to old to learn, I consider myself an autodidact polymath, so I go out of my way to learn as much as I can. Cheers.

Most decent threads go this way now. In fact, the only threads that make me smile are the conspiracy ones ! ?? ! Cheers.

Did you eat her meal aswell ? The ungrateful hussey ?? Cheers.

Cheers Kieth ? Ive been out with dogs, the seasons in full swing now, then to the Allotments to feed and water the hens, ducks and quail ! Iv'e just picked a bag full of green tomatoes and i'm off to Asda now for the only ingredient I haven't got, brown sugar, to make a load of green tomato and red onion chutney, so I might just take them up on their offer ! ? ! Keeping busy keeps me young , mate ! Cheers.

I retired at 51 after 26 years out there and kept my airline benefits, including the free flights for me an my missus. We still travel a lot, the missus more so than me. I've not worked again, and don't miss the pressure or responsibilities. I sometimes wonder what life would have been like if I had retired to Australia or New Zealand, but we probably have the best of both worlds, a base here and the ability to travel. ? Cheers.

80's, when the £ and the $ were almost at parity. Cheers.
-
My missus and her pals used to fly the red eye from Jeddah to New York, do a days shopping , the shops would deliver the shopping to the check in desk, and they would fly back on the return flight ! They would also go the opposite direction to Seoul and do the same thing. All on free staff tickets, halcyon days ! Cheers.

I wouldn't call it a bite......more a respectful reply ? These days all I want is an easy life and a few runs with the dogs, there'll be old timers on here who will tell you I bit more than a rabid Saluki and argued with everyone back in the day, but not now ? Good luck with the Greyhound pups, I'll follow their development with interest ? Cheers.

Been a few times, not my type of place, a bit to claustrophobic. Enjoyed the south much more, especially Texas, but saying that, there's plenty to see and do in NY if that's your thing ? Cheers.
