  1. One was a smooth type, the other was a strong hairy type. The same guy gifted my daughter and her fiancé a border Collie which I wouldn't have give the cur kennel room ! ? Sheik Ghunaim of Abu Dhabi offered me one of these pups for free if I could get it home without quarantine, but sadly, even with my diplomat sons help, proved impossible; Cheers.
  2. The friend imported two Doberman fro Holland as pets/guards. They had been trained by an ex Indian Army dog trainer. He gave me one to replace an old saluki he had gifted me. Another Saudi friend was gifted two lurchers by Peter Stringfellow, which had come from the Queens kennels in Sandringham, he asked me to come and see them......I told him to give them to me, as they would never see the outside of their kennels with him. He refused. The prince my wife and late daughter went to stay with for a few month actually keeps Jack Russell's ! He said he will send me a Saluki , but i said
  3. By the way, the Range Rover was a Wood & Pickett conversion with the full body kit and the long range desert kit, double radiator, long range fuel tank, updated suspension and brakes, Recaro seats, etc. I bought it for SAR 10,000...... just under £2,000 at the time, an absolute bargain ! Cheers.
  4. Impossible to rate, mate. Running a dog in Saudi was going out every weekend and hoping you got a run. The Royals and the rich used droppers, I just hoped to see a hare or a rabbit I could get a run on. I had a couple of pures and they kept me happy. The dog in the pictures, I wish I could have brought him home, but he died at 17 and the prince that gifted me him replaced him with a Doberman ! I brought the Doberman home as it would have been disrespectful not to, but I'd rather it had been the saluki ! ?? Cheers.
  5. I upgraded to a Range Rover......even better than a scooby when off roading ! ? Cheers.
  6. See the Subaru and the saluki ? I had them both back in the very early 80's ! ?? Cheers.
  7. I had a pure in Saudi that the only way I could get it back was to open the car door and stand back, Cheers.
  8. There's one or two I couldn't get back on the slip ! ? Cheers.
  9. mC wouldn't have a deer x anywhere near his kennels ! ?? Cheers.
  10. Starting to get a bit "sloppy" now mate ??. Cheers.
  11. Incorrect. I've told this story in the past; I was a moderator on another site and had a falling out with the owners. I was told by a member that I was being slagged off and lied about, so I asked a colleague of my late son if he could get me access to the site without it being known. He had me on in a matter of minutes, and I was reading not only posts, but PM's. I had great fun confronting them with what they had written.....it was driving them mad thinking they had a spy in their midst, blaming each other and fighting like rats in a sack ! ? The site closed down not
  12. The aggrieved member wouldn't have had access to the accused's PM's, which he wasn't part of, but the accused claims he was confronted with PM's between him and third parties. Christ, I'm sounding like a f***ing lawyer now ! ??? As I said, I don't know how true any of it was ? Cheers.
  13. I believe we may be thinking about the same case; not getting to far into it, there was a huge argument about a very well known man in the lurcher game being accused of stealing a dog. One lad went at it like a dog with a bone, and the man who was accused got the police involved and the lad was taken in for questioning, and he claims he was confronted with screen shots of not only posts, but PM's off here. I haven't a clue how true it was, and the lad had a bit of a reputation for, shall we say, "exaggeration ", but he swore it was true. One thing I know for sure, no site o
  14. A woman from the UN said yesterday that the average number of children that women have in Niger is SEVEN ! Cheers.
  15. "Kingdom of Kravinkis" ??????? Cheers.
  16. Showing them how you defeated the Mau Mau in Kenya ? Cheers.
  17. I dropped my missus at an out of town shopping mall today and parked up next to a rusty old ford to wait for her. A few minutes later, three men appeared and opened the tailgate. They had that swarthy, "Balkan war criminal" look about them and they all took cans of those mixed drinks, you know the stuff, Jim Beam coke, etc, out of the pockets of their leather jackets and stood around drinking, talking and smoking. Albanians ? Romanians ? Who knows. A few minutes later a group of women turned up. Dressed like old gypsy women, they looked like they had just come from a Roma camp in Kaz
  18. His stage shows are a bit repetitive. I think he's better in sitcoms. Cheers.
  19. Sunderland cancelled the Air Show to try and meet their carbon reduction targets. Maybe this was their version of "carbon neutral " ? ?? Cheers.
  20. Hope it hasn't meandered its way down from Scotland; Cheers.
  21. FIFA are selling the soul of football......just look at the World Cup ! We are grown men Max, football is just an interest, it shouldn't be the overriding thing in our lives...I'll be watching the UK Snooker Open with more interest than watching the World Cup. It's what we do, we are all different. But I hope England wins the World Cup, but I doubt very much they will, and I hope Newcastle qualify for Europeanan competition, which they might. God luck with your pups, and, by the way, I love the pics of your daughter on the horse, my grandson is quite accomplished at horse riding
  22. I went to every European home game in the 60's Max and all the cup run games in the 70's home and away . Its only because I went to live and work abroad that I didn't go any more games. Ive said time and time again that I like darts first, snooker second and then football comes a distant third, but I'll take a bit of pleasure in my home team finally looking like they are doing well. Dont let hatred take you over....I couldn't give a f**k...it's just all a bit of fun to me these days. ? Cheers.
  23. Today started well, there were photos and reports of Saudia Airlines staff being pictured at St. James' Park and the electronic billboards being re-programmed with Saudia, I worked for them for over twenty years and retired with with full benefits, so I'm hoping I can blag a free season ticket ! ?? Cheers.
  24. I may just break into a smile tonight; Newcastle 1 Chelsea 0...........?? Cheers.
