  1. I’m not saying relax any laws for anyone. Your post seems to say we should be more welcoming to Europeans that anyone else, my point, as I said, is there are first and second generation Brits in the likes of New Zealand and Australia, whose children still qualify for British citizenship far more the the vast majority of Europeans. Maybe Im being pedantic, but I do see your point of view . Cheets.
  2. What’s Europe got to do with it ? We are no longer in the EU ? Surely people from Anglophone countries such as Canada, Australia, New Zealand, America have a closer heritage with the UK than, say , people from Albania, Romania , Lithuania, etc ? Cheers.
  3. Hot, peppered beef stotties with fried onions, sweet peppers and horse radish; Cheers.
  4. I remember the Bangkok animal market in the 80’s and you COULD buy a tiger cub ! I met an English lad in one of the shack bars on beach road, Pattya, when it was still an R&R destination for American troops, who had jumped ship somewhere in south east Asia and his Thai girlfriend stopped him from buying a tiger cub so he bought a monkey instead ! Halcyon days mate !
  5. I didn’t know you knew Mally !! I spent a lot of time at his place hunting, shooting, coursing and lamping. I returned the favours and he stayed at mine many times Small world, I’m a great believer in “three steps removed” Hope you are well mate and well on the way to recovery after your recent travails ! Cheers.
  6. We were talking about Sriracha tiger zoo a while back, just found this pic in the man cave of my missus some years back ; Cheers.
  7. It’s got far too expensive to put on game fairs now. A friend of mine ran the Yorkshire Gamefair for years, but the money the land owner wanted, third party insurance, marquee and generator hire, toilet hire and a miriad of other costs just made it economically unviable. Visitors were simply not willing to pay an entry fee that would even give a break even cost. Another pal ran the EDRD show, just a show, not a game fair, but costs made it unviable to carry on. I only support my local hunt shows now. I was at the Hayden Hunt show the other week, £3 entry to the show, £2 per dog
  8. Be prepared for incoming memes and copy & paste remainer claims from the Guardian, New European, etc, that this is a terrible deal for the UK. The hard core haters will never give up, they are brainwashed to a point of no return , they’ve drank the EU koolaid… Cheers.
  9. Referendums are a necessity in rare occasions, such as EU membership or Scottish independence, but can’t become a way of regular governance. I’m not against it, by the way. I’d love referendums on things such as capital punishment, net zero, a complete ban on illegal immigration, a halt to overseas aid, a ban on Central Bank Digital Currency, to name just a few, but the politicians are well aware of how these referendums would go and shudder at the though of giving the people a say ! Cheers.
  10. A bit of balance to the left wing rhetoric; DOMINIC LAWSON: Remainers warned of xenophobic post-Brexit Britain but EU is lurching to far Right | Daily Mail Online WWW.DAILYMAIL.CO.UK DOMINIC LAWSON: across the European Union, parties described as 'far Right' and 'populist' are either in government... Not quite as rosy in the EU as some believe. Cheers.
  11. I don’t know mate, I haven’t flown in a while and I usually get my retired employee discounts, but I know last time I bought tickets for my family it cost £1800 for two adults and one child, this time it cost £2000 for one adult and one child, same route, same airline. Cheers.
  12. Depends on your outlook ! My grandson said the other day “grandad, as soon as you pick us up from the airport, can you take me to Sports Direct ?” LOL Cheers.
  13. Been to Dubai many times, it’s only as expensive as you want it to be. To be fair I rarely paid for flights, and my daughter lived there at the International Village and I stayed with her or in airline accommodation. Last time I was there was on a trip back from Australia, I was travelling free and got bumped off in Singapore, I spent six nights in the departure lounge, as I was too tight to buy a ticket, before blagging a flight that would get me to Dubai. Emirates said they could get me to Manchester that afternoon or Newcastle the next day. I showed my ID and asked if I coul
  14. Be prepared to haggle in the grand bazzar ! Never pay more than half the asking price, and that will still probably be too much ! Cheers.
  15. The New European is the remoaners bible. Don’t expect any balanced views. Cheers.
  16. The new pacific trade deal won’t make a huge difference initially, probably add about 1% to our GDP, but it’s a start, and will get better. Main thing is it gets us into developing markets early. One of the positives about leaving the EU is we can make our own trade deals with other countries, something the EU wouldn’t allow us to do. Another positive is that with every trade deal we do makes it progressively more difficult for any Lab/Lib/SNP alliance to take us back into the EU ! Now expect the incoming memes and copy & paste articles from the remainers saying what a
  17. A prominent figure on television, married with children, paying £35,000 to some pathetic, drug addled, young man, to send him pics of his tackle is somehow the equivalent of someone who reads the Sun ? A rather strange analogy I think ? OK, page three was a bit sleazy back then, but when have two wrongs made a right ? Cheers.
  18. Gateshead 2-0 up at half time despite Newcastle playing with six full backs ! Divided loyalties; born in Gateshead , lived most of my life in Newcastle ! Cheers.
  19. They are both nuclear powers and have active space programmes, and both have bigger economies than the UK. Cheers.
  20. Germanys in recession, France is in flames, but, hey, they are the leaders of the EU so let’s not mention them ! Cheers.
  21. The Tory’s have made a complete mess of being in government. A massive majority and a mandate to get Brexit done, but they squandered it by incompetence and infighting. Labour will almost certainly get in and things will get worse. Which sets me a strange dilemma; in a way I hope they get an absolute majority, because the alternative, a hung parliament with Labour the most seats but not an overall majority will see them go into coalition with the LibDems or the SNP, possibly both, and that will be disastrous for the UK. What a mess……… Cheers.
  22. They are chips, mate, proper chips…… fries are those skinny, stringy things you get at Macdonalds ! Cheers.
  23. The lefts default setting is to automatically oppose and disagree with anyone who isn’t a lefty, it doesn’t matter , leftist dogma is all that matters, “ if you aren’t far left….you must be a Tory”. They won’t even consider other’s opinions. Cheers.
  24. There’s enough films and series on Amazon Prime, Apple, etc to last me for the rest of my life, so I guess the actors, writers etc can stay on strike for as long as they like. Cheers.
  25. Ooh !!! Is that an ad hominem attack, Sandy ? Evidently some of the aid to China was to fund Marie Stopes clinics to help abort Chinese children . I’d of thought the Chinese would be pretty proficient at that without financial help from the U K……. Cheers.
