    the dogs in fine condition, aye his head and neck do look a little large in proportion to his body (and im not trying to be smart)but undoubtly a fit looking dog, usually when underweight the arse end looks terrible with alot of pin showing but i cant see any on this dog? i have 2 bitches who get fed the same, excersised the same etc one i cannot get weight off of her but she is a solid lump and quite quick, the other you can see her pins and a couple of ribs and even a bit of her spine, it comes down to like humans the metabolism of the dogs and how quick they burn off, at the end of the day

    what about this then, my mate burd has a short legged jrt and she carries it puts t-shirts, jumpers, even raincoats on it, tried telling her, he's triedtelling her, there is no telling her, thing is the wee thing is fiery grabbed a hold of her hair and wouldnt let go, think it was trying to tell her for embarressing him.........oh, and she wipes its arse. :wallbash: and no im not joking.

    took my 1st lurcher to one of them obedience classes when she was 6mth old, at the end of the class the wee lady said there is no point in coming back as she was the best behaved dog there, it was my old dear that made me take her aswell coz she never listened to her, reminds me of the time when my mum had a wee drink and decided she was going to take her a walk late at night, i told her take her to the wee feild at end of road and not the big one at the other end, 45minutes passed and still no return so i phoned her and got a tirade of abuse about the dog no comin back, f****n dog this and f*

    they will possibly trim it back a bit, or stitch it, my old bitch split her web and cut all in between her toes 16 stitches and 10wks later i run her again and she run fine, it might not take as long as that but thats how long i gave her to heal.

    bit big for small feilds and unless you get a small fine built one no good for ferreting, maybe a saluki/grey over a whippet would be more apt for your hunting, when are you looking to get a pup?

    aye wait another month or two, then ease them in, have you got an experienced dog to show the ropes? get her out get her watching maybe an easy "run" not runs then back on the slip, even if it catches back on the slip and let it watch if it blanks then same thing as you dont want to dishearten it, then gradually up the amount of runs you give it, even at 12-13mth maximum of 4-5 runs a night, good luck with the pup.
