  1. Speaking of him. I've started him on some new 80/20 ratio kibble that's meant to be the dogs bollocks. He loves the stuff tbh but their serving sizes are half the amount of other kibbles, they say it's because their stuff is densely packed with nutrition. Anyway I served him the recommended amount but he still wanted more and finished it in short order unlike his other foods. I then started serving him more than the recommended 350g per day but I noticed that his stools were soft and he seems to have lost a little weight. I weighed him and he had lost a kilo in a week and half on th
  2. Yeah he's been spot on so far apart from that incident with the bone. He was with the litter later than normal so that early protective instinct never got ironed out. He's starting to get a bit rough with dogs already I just hope he doesn't become a nightmare when he's older.
  3. I've got a 5 month old Akita pup and he was as soft as a brush, a little on the timid side to me or so I thought. The Mrs got him a bone and gave it him in the garden. When I went outside and went to stroke him his body stiffened up and he growled. I belted him and took it off him, over the next few days I tested him out and he was still at it on occasions. I put him in his place but you could still see he was in two minds what to do. It shocked me tbh because he was proper soft and was fine when stroked whilst eating his food. No more bones for him when my kid is around, no dog can be t
  4. I don't know they just told people to contact them if they're interested. Some half crosses of many breeds can make stunning dogs. I can remember in around 94 there was a male Akita X Bullmastiff in the village, it was a beauty.
  5. I've just seen a litter of German Shepherds on a rehoming page on FB, they're not pure but if free to a good home could be OK for you.

    Stoat Attack

Spotted one of the beauties yesterday whilst out on a walk and on the drive home from work in the week, a Weasel crossed the M62 right in front of me. I cant believe it didn't get splattered, it just made it past my car and checked in my mirror to see if it made it. Luckily the lorry behind missed it too.
  7. Just get something big that hasn't got the drive, a Labradoodle or Giant Schnauzer.
  8. Was it though or was it those that filmed their actions and sold them to the public that started the beginning of the end?
  9. How much are you wanting to pay for a dog, there's plenty of biggish breeds out there that will bark and be OK with kids.

    Gyms shut

What's the crack? I would do the tyre no problem, anything that involves running though would do me atm.
  11. Yep the lightweight and middleweight Tosa are cracking dogs. You can see they're heavily APBT infused unlike the giant mastiff type.
  12. It's the Jap in them. You would do well to get one of those of decent quality, I know there has been some decent ones in Eastern Europe.

    Back to work

I got called back in after being on furlough for 3 weeks. Luckily I'm not near anybody as on this job I'm a glorified gateman. ? When I get on a regular job if things aren't in order I'll not be going in.
  14. Hey when I was out mooching a kick-up was always fair game but these out and out hare dogs that have been filmed you would think they would be given law. I'm not sure if the more recent videos are all of matches like but they are terrible slips imo. That's not a knock on the dogs or anything but I think they should be tested more, they are all over the hare in seconds.
  15. I'm not saying all are like this but a lot of these modern videos on YouTube are full of kick-ups, is this the done thing now?
  16. If you were an average Joe in the States after the Great Depression things were very rosy indeed. The perspective changes depending on which way you're looking at it. ?
  17. Would you lot say we now have the best Saluki dogs in the world now?
  18. What was the lad doing bumping in to them in the first place, I had the sense to escape capture at 13 year old when I used to lamp on my own. It isn't hard to disappear in to the night whilst out on foot imo.
  19. Are these figures only counting hospital deaths?
  20. You have to remember though guys matching is a guideline but you are running against the Hare not the dog.
  21. I hate being forced in to doing something, if she hadn't ordered me I might have. ?
  22. I don't know if that's typical though. My Mum & Dad had a German Shepherd that was from police lines when I was a little one and he was pappy as hell with other dogs.
  23. I've always wondered does an eight minute run take more stamina out of a pure than a two minute run on a more up and at em type be that saluki based or not.
