  1. That depends on how we measure things though. I'm not a massive fan of it either but what's happened has happened. I'm not saying it's justified payback for our past but the facts are if we didn't raid and exploit foreign lands then we wouldn't have what some will call, a big problem with migrants. Like I said in an earlier post though. Divide and discrimination isn't going to improve matters it will just make them worst, that will only be harmful to all sides IMO.
  2. I think it is, let's not try and pretend that other nations have never gone to civil war throughout their history. The States would have likely gone to war at some point over something like state rights even if slavery wasn't involved IMO, that's just conjecture but a possibility. The same could be said for us in all reality, would we have become so successful and so powerful if we weren't an Island nation that was relatively safe from attack?
  3. Yes it was very significant but it wasn't just a war over slavery even if it was a major factor. Of course there is, is there any wonder with what happened in the past? Hundreds of years of repression and discrimination wasn't a great start to seeing eye to eye.
  4. Great, so you have to delve back 150 years to the time of the civil war as evidence it doesn't work. We are living in the most peaceful times in history, racial tension is better than all out war. That just shows how everyone can buy in to a myth, its been doing a great job you must admit?
  5. The USA puts a big spanner in the works to that theory.
  6. The difference is we do have a conscience and on the whole no right from wrong.
  7. And you think all over wars before greatly benefited the fighting man?
  8. Everything that is happening or that has happened is completely natural. You was stating yesterday that colonialism had a negative effect on the working classes and complained that your grandfather died for nothing in WW1. Where is the consistency?
  9. Get a deterrent with 42 teeth.
  10. If the gypos have done it I wouldn't count on it.
  11. He's the only man in the history of mankind to swim across the straits of Johor.
  12. I just think you're looking at things completely the wrong way. Whether you like it or not they are here to stay, shunning and vilifying them is just going to cause even more division and that's never going to solve problems.
  13. That I can't answer but this lockdown has got me contemplating whether to give up a job I don't really like to spend more time with the family. It's true though, we have lost who we were. If you don't stand for something, you will fall for anything.
  14. If you can't beat them join them, we have put our careers over our families. It's not that we can't afford kids, it's that they're an inconvenience.
  15. Not to be petty but the same could be said of you, you abandoned ship when the sailing was at it's toughest. You knew full well you was on to a loser so you did the sensible thing, I would have done the same tbh but I wouldn't call others for trying to get on with things.
  16. So what is your suggestion then, most were born over here and have been doing so for years.
  17. I don't know about that, I know plenty of folk who breed like rabbits and live a life of Riley.
  18. If we die out it's our own fault, if we can't up our reproduction rates then that's on us. ?
  19. Look I hate what this place has become just as much as you but what can we do about it? You can't blame the migrants for coming here, blame the government for allowing them to do so. They are here to stay so it is better to try and accept and tolerate than be at constant war with yourself over it. I don't even think you mean half of what you say, I bet coming from London you've had plenty of black pals or people you are friendly with.
  20. Genocide wasn't their first plan of action, just saying lol. So what do you suggest? Start off with expulsion?
  21. Scientists haven't since I last knew agreed on whether we should be labelled the same species as Neanderthals, we did mate with them and produce fertile offspring. Think of us as more like dogs, they all look very different but they are all the same species. ?
  22. Basically adaptations to different environments.
