No wonder they have a bad rep if they are called "shocking collars". An "electric collar" can be a usefull tool IF used by someone with some knowledge, if used by someone with crap timing and no knowledge of behaviour they can be terrible. They can be used dependent on the dogs temperament and the nature of the problem, far too may people use them as a quick fix with no thouyght as they can't be arsed to solve the problem another way. Tallyho, the dog should wear the collar off and on for a significant period of time so it doesn't associate the correction with the collar.

Went on Saturday and I thought it was shite, the mud made walking and pushing a baby like a workout, the stalls seemeed to have given up the ghost, the terrier and lurcher rings were off in the car park miles from anywhere and a tenner each to get in...........Last year it seemed to have improved but after this weekend i'll save my hard earned pennies next year and go for a walk instead..........

Tolkeins books were magical to me growing up. Jim Corbetts books onIndia were class as he wrote in a style that made you imagine you were there. Fieldsports and countryside authors such as Robin Page, James Douglas, Philip Holden and THL residents such as Mr Darcy and Mr Lloyd also write in a style I enjoy as it brings the reader into the pages. Stephen King books are great although the6y always ruin them when they transform them into rubbish films. Stupid white men by Michael Moore is an informative look into todays America.
