    no dont know everything but i know how to do good by a dog, bring them on slowly and they will still be running at 10yrs old .... as someone else as said your dog do what you want ... just my opinion on the matter .. and typp/lass ive seen some hares run on the lamp and believe me they wernt easier than a rabbit and could run lol need to find some of these easy hares as by the sound of it i could run them myself hahha

    dont talk bollox ... no matter how well bred the dog is it still shouldnt be put being a hare at 8 month , and imo you shouldnt have bred this dog as you clearly know feck all about working a dog proper

    not being funny but an 8 month old dog should not be put behind a hare weather it was with another dog or not ... youll end up ruining a good lurcher

    most people use the greyhound as the dam as they are cheap and easy to get hold of to breed a litter or lurchers... there aint no other reason. half x collies normally average out at about 23" tts whichever way they are bred ...

    in the north the irish hare is protected ... the brown hare isnt ... hunting deer with dogs is also legal in the north aslong as its done on permission and during the day ...

    should have also said in my post about the age..... my dog was 2 yrs old before he seen the fox ... i wouldnt personally start a dog till it was at least 18 month old and then only if i thought it was ready

    slip it like gnipper says .... my avatar shows my dog doing his first fox (im in NI) was on my own that night and my dog had never seen another dog killing a fox .... if theyve got it in them , they should do em on there own .

    really mate dont know where your permission is and i'm not gona say where i was online so leave it at that and i'm sure there is more than one person with permission on that land and i know one of the lads i was with has permisson on that land. also who said i caught the bunny in that field behind me? just watch yourself not just that one field but all round there the police get phoned i will pm you with details

    nope not a lot at all my lurcher will do all you want and do roll over as well lol alot of people train there dogs not to chase till told mine a can to an extent if its close and he sets off 9/10 times he wont listen lol
