  1. sorry to hear about your dog over here dogs are licenced and are held liable for any damage to the car if they get ran over so not only would you be upset for the dog but then you have to fork out a nice bill for any damage ...
  2. heres an idea........ why not ring him is phone number is in his post ...... if you cant afford the cost of a phone call how the f3ck are you going to pay for the dog and its food
  3. my dog is bred from a beddy/whippet x wheaton/grey ... she was a brindle smoothish coated bitch stood about 20/21" and was meant to have took fox (dont know much about her tbh)... dont have no pics of her but gnipper off this site did have one of her and i think knows more about her.. they should have plenty of fire and id give one a chance if a litter came up and i needed a dog
  4. pm TANGO he as an old saluki x dog , seen it at the shows a few times dont know if he studs it out or not but worth a try ... he is in Co. Down
  5. feeling very tired

  6. i start looking for slips when the dog is around 18 month old , trying to find a slip what he will be near enough garunteed to catch ... then i will not slip again for say a month and then another slip... i will regulary slip them at foxes after 2 yrs old ... having said that my dog didnt take his first fox till 2yrs old which was last season ... only took 2 last season and 4 this season but thats because i havent been out for them much ... ps im in Northern Ireland where its legal to hunt fox with lurchers
  7. nobody would want to lend my dogs as there sh!t
  8. but lamping deer was illegal pre-ban
  9. i know of a dog that was meant to pull hinds but never got to see it myself (dog died coursing a hare)... i have no reason to disbelieve this person , as everything else he as told me, he was able to back up with actions ... dog was a collie/greyhound 27" tts ... like i say never seen it but wouldnt disbelieve the person
  10. surely this is what the deerhounds were bred for???
  11. got a dog here that wont be tried till he its 16/18 month old ... thats my preferance ... any younger than 12 months is idiotic in my eyes ... dog aint fully developed and mature enough seen a dog jack by the owner starting it to early ...
  12. 1/4 collie x 3/4 grey whippet x grey 1/4 beddy x 3/4 grey lurcher x lurcher and theres more what would be more than capable to do the job you want ... instead of looking a certain cross why not just look at differant litters and choose a dog you like ,dont just look at one type
  13. thought you was looking a russell ???? why dont you take it
  14. i take mine off the bone while on the fox and i dont salt mine i just stick them in a jar then fill with white spirits and leave for 2 weeks, i find this easiest for me
  15. if i was you id get rid of the dog and get a dog that wont go to ground like a springer or cocker ... or a plummer if you keep the dog i cant see you stopping it going to ground , now i have seen a dog that wouldnt go to ground unless told to , how he got the dog to do this i aint a clue ... you will end up losing the dog again and if you aint got a locator on it ,it will probably be lost forever next time
  16. fit a lamp shade thingy from the vets bet it cant get to ground then you will find it hard, easiest thing to do is keep her on a lead or put a locator collar on her and carry a spade ..
  17. only had 3 lurchers and one was already trained.. the other 2 (whippetxgreyhound) and a lurcher x lurcher (beddy/whippet/wheaton/grey x bull/grey) were both easy to train ,both retrieved naturally , they both done the usual commands and both were trained to come in on the whistle , both entered to rabbit very easy ... was not a single problem with them training wise having said that im out everyday walking and refreshing the training ... did have a terrier that i just could not get to do what it was told, sold him to a member on this site and he as him doing what he is told
  18. you started selling plummers now i take it i wish at £500 a pup...
